Brandeis University seeks to hire an Assistant Director of Athletics for Marketing, Promotions, and Community Relations to direct marketing and community relations campaigns, primarily focused on athletics, to promote the University and to expand sponsorship. This person will develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan for athletics and oversees community promotions that encourage engagement, using athletics as a vehicle for enhancing and creating development campaigns.
Directs marketing and community relations campaigns, using athletics as a touch point to promote the University, raise visibility, and expand sponsorship and other fundraising efforts including: overseeing game day marketing and promotions operations, supervising student staff, collaborating with campus and community organizations to increase attendance and school spirit, serving as liaison to spirit band and cheerleaders, and hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising the school mascot for athletics events. This person will oversee social media campaigns, including concept development, activation, measurement and evaluation.
Works to secure and service corporate sponsorship agreements from local and national businesses. Uses an understanding of the value of athletics to develop lasting strategic relationships and businesses. Oversees sponsorships through their life cycle. Duties include working with Sports Information to organize athletics planning calendar that outlines annual/seasonal promotions and events, i.e. raffles, contests, and giveaways, managing athletics social media accounts, enhancing brand identification and value through positive community relations and deliberate community outreach initiatives.
Work with Athletic Director on alumni relations and development campaigns, leveraging the Brandeis Athletics experience to create meaningful alumni connections.

Bachelor’s Degree, required
Master’s Degree, preferred
3-5 years work experience
Previous experience working with sponsorship sales and service. Understanding of the role that athletics plays at a DIII institution.
Experience working with multicultural and diverse groups of people.
