Responsible for the oversight, development and implementation of comprehensive strategic plans for the Athletics Marketing Department in order to generate ticket revenue, drive attendance, create a first-class fan experience, market, promote, brand and enhance all facets of the Athletics Department while fostering innovative and collaborative efforts to engage students, staff, alumni, supporters and prospective fans of Liberty Athletics.
Work with the Senior Associate AD for External Operations and the Director of Athletics to identify strategies and events for building affinity for Liberty Athletics through ticket sales for the University's four NCAA ticketed sports.
Duties:
Develops, implements, coordinates, and monitors strategies, policies, goals, and objectives related to the Athletics Marketing Department.
Develops, implements, coordinates, and monitors strategies, policies, goals, and objectives related to an aggressive outbound ticket sales initiative.
Directs the annual marketing expenditures of the advertising & promotional dollars to ensure maximum benefit.
Coordinates the social and new media outlets to increase exposure and attendance at home athletic contests.
Collaborates with department’s multi-media rights holder to help facilitate their objective of maximizing revenue.
Assist with finding synergies between all the units on the external side with business efficiencies and business expansion that aid the department’s growth.
Develops team standards and motivates the unit to achieve set benchmarks.
Provide critical review of policies and procedures.
Hires, trains, evaluates and disciplines unit personnel as necessary.
Supervision oversight for marketing & promotions, athletics ticket office, spirit squad, and liaison to University band.
Minimum of five years of experience in ticket sales and marketing at the NCAA Division I level.
