The University of Arizona’s Department of Intercollegiate Athletics (ICA) is seeking an experienced professional for the position of Associate Athletics Director for Ticket Sales and Customer Relationship Management (CRM). This position will serve on the Athletics Department’s Senior Staff, and will work closely with the Senior Associate A.D. for External Operations to maximize ticket revenue. The successful candidate will lead and coordinate ticket sales, operations and customer experience for all admission-charging sports, oversee and manage ICA’s customer/donor database management and CRM program, and coordinate fundraising efforts between the Ticket Office and Development Office. This position will also collaborate with ICA Marketing, Financial Analytics, the A-Club and Community Relations. • Oversee and lead the Ticket Office, Outbound Sales, CRM/database management, and the Coordinator of Account Operations for all ticket operations and fundraising efforts, including management of full-time, part-time, student and volunteer staff.
• Provide strategic planning for increasing ticket revenue, paid admission, and customer experience.
• Monitor and maintain the data in the Ticketing/Development database, including enforcing of ICA policies.
• Provide direction related to new development initiatives and suggest best practices for utilizing the ticketing/development database.
• Oversee reports generated by the Director of Ticketing and the Assistant Ticket Manager to ensure accuracy.
• Track and report commission payments for the Outbound Sales staff.
• Run reports including but not limited to, NCAA and internal revenue reports, and weekly fiscal year report.
• Coordinate with External Operation and Development Office to ensure PCI compliance; including annual training fiscal integrity and proper donation entry.
• Coordinate with the IT Department for technical needs for ticket/donor database.
• Coordinate with the Business Office to reconcile Ticket Office financials.
• Coordinate with third party ticket vendors, including managing ticket printing process.
• Educate the Ticket Office, Outbound Sales and Development Office in the proper use of the database to ensure the integrity of our data.
• Work in conjunction with the UA Foundation to coordinate data between ICA and Raiser’s Edge database.
• Oversee operations of ZonaZoo membership program, including student ticketing/barcode database to ensure proper scanning student Cat Cards on game days.
• Provide database software training to External Operations and Development staff to assist in sales, marketing, and development efforts.
• Manage ticketing system contract, relationship and technology for all ticketing and development services.
• Oversee SalesForce CRM; coordinating management between External Operations and Development.
• Coordinate systems for A-Club/Letterwinners, Courtesy Car and Wildcat Club annual giving program
• Assist ICA users with the Raiser’s Edge software.
• Coordinate with the Business Office to reconcile Ticket Office financials.
• Coordinate with third party ticket vendors, including managing ticket printing process.
• Maintain the data integrity between Spectra data entry and the Raiser’s Edge software.
• Assist with overseeing all ticket operations and customer service.
• Others duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree;
3-5+ years of full-time employment experience in sports ticket sales and operations with demonstrated management skills and experience;
expertise with Spectra or like ticket and donor database system;
working knowledge of SalesForce;
excellent communication skills; demonstrated reliability and ability to perform under deadline pressure and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with conflicting deadlines;
demonstrated knowledge of ticket sales strategies; independently take action; maintain a flexible work schedule with ability to work irregular hours including nights and weekends, with flexibility to travel with assigned teams as required; demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment to handle sensitive and confidential information/material with discretion; strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, faculty, administrators, Pac-12 and NCAA officials, community leaders, government officials, alumni, customers and donors; knowledge of, and compliance with, NCAA, Pac-12 Conference, and institution rules that relate to this position.
