Job Description
The Director of Operations primary responsibilities include developing, managing, and leading the university travel service teams. This role successfully manages client relationships and travel teams and develops and implements travel management strategies and operational efficiencies across the country. This role will help us and our clients succeed by providing extraordinary service and creative travel solutions.
Leadership
• Provide operational leadership and direction to the travel teams
• Effectively lead direct reports and support staff including hiring, training, compensating, motivating, reviewing and terminating
• Participate in leadership team for Anthony Travel, contributing time and ideas to solve challenges and deploy new processes and technology
• Establish regular operational meetings focused on defined initiatives, operational activities and ongoing client support
Operations
• Successfully manage the daily needs of the customers and meet the objectives of the company's overall business plans and strategies
• Develop travel agent training programs that deliver world-class service to client’s travelers
• Provide full-service travel support to client VIP’s and group travel as needed
Process Improvement
• Develop and deploy standard processes and continuous improvements within the division and across Anthony Travel
• Refine, develop and implement operational efficiency initiatives in coordination with primary client goals
• Identify, initiate, and develop relationships within Anthony Travel
• Understand the travel workflow including needs gathering, travel search, booking, processing, invoicing and reporting
• Work with Sabre, Concur, BookingBuilder, SureWare, GRASP Technologies and other partners to streamline the reservation flow

• Powerful communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experience in an upper management position in university travel management, university procurement and/or travel and hospitality industry
• Extraordinary customer service and creative travel solutions skills
• Substantial knowledge overseeing multiple departments
• Proven record of successful relationship building and maintenance
• Recognition of talented employees with energy, enthusiasm and creativity.
• Strong personal effectiveness demonstrating imaginative and distinctive leadership
• Intention to continually strive for self-improvement and discover better means of accomplishing goals.
