Job Description
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide overall leadership for retention, new sales and service initiatives.
• Oversee sales efforts involving training and consulting products.
• Responsible for the recruiting, hiring and professional development of sales staff
• Provide ongoing training, coaching and mentoring for sales staff
• Lead regular staff meetings and facilitating discussion and sharing of ideas related to growing sales revenue
• Develop and maintain a personal client base of sales prospects and customers of their own
• Prepare and manage an annual Sales business plan and budget in concert with appropriate staff and senior management that encompasses the sales and retention of all of our various buying customers.
• Manage key global accounts
• Call current, new and past sales leads to generate sales
• Effectively lead a sales force of 5+ professionals
• Contact area businesses and individuals via phone, in-person appointments and networking events to sell sales training programs and advisory services
• Work local, national and international marketing events
• Build relationships to provide repeat business and excellent customer service
• Recognize future sales opportunities
• Act proactively to create opportunities for new business with existing customers
• Pursue prospective customers
• Manage multiple relationships well
• Build rapport with customers and prospects
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned by Executive Team
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
• 3-5 years of proven success selling for a professional organization
• Have a friendly and professional telephone manner
• Excellent leadership and motivational skills
• Display an outstanding ability to listen well
• Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Experience with CRM.
• Proficient in functions of social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.
• Work well in a team environment
• Effectively express ideas verbally and in writing
• Independently take action beyond what is called for
• Demonstrate a positive attitude
Experience: 3-5 years of proven success selling for a professional organization
• The position reports to the Executive team.
