POSITION OVERVIEW:
The HR Business Partner II (HRBP II) provides leadership and strategic support for the Zatarain's team in Gretna, LA, partnering closely with plant leaders, business leaders, and HR colleagues to ensure the continued building of a high-performance organization within the business. This HRBP consults with leaders and employees to operationalize the people strategy and provide HR partnering and solutions. Employee and management satisfaction will be achieved through clear direction-setting, development and implementation of effective change management plans, talent management plans, and strategic partnership.
The HR Business Partner is responsible for delivering the People strategy for specific business teams (typically specific site locations, or subsets of global or functional teams), in alignment with the overall organization People strategy. This role assesses and anticipates HR-related business needs and works within the McCormick OneHR model to develop strategies and plans to achieve business objectives. The HRBP influences business clients through change, and, through actionable insights and anticipation of market trends, develops and successfully delivers on key people initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
• Provides HR business partnership to develop the People strategy for a unit, function, or site.
Strategizes and collaborates with sites/functions, Global HR Centers of Expertise, and HR Shared Services (McCormick People Solutions), to execute plans that deliver business goals.
Leverages analytics to identify trends and leverages strategies, solutions, programs, procedures or policies that lead to increased engagement and business performance.
• Ensures robust operationalization of the six systems of high performance, including goal-setting, performance-management, communication and information-sharing, learning and development, problem-solving and decision-making, and rewards and recognition.
Partners to shape organizational effectiveness.
Champions and leads change to deliver continued business growth. Facilitates and promotes McCormick’s Winning Ways of Working.
• Drives healthy and positive organization culture to maintain McCormick as a Great Place to Work.Leverages measures of engagement, and leads the unit/site in identifying, designing and executing strategies that ensure a healthy, inclusive, and positive organizational culture. Advocates for employees and ensures employee involvement and voice.
• Drives 1- and 3-year talent and succession plan for function/site team. Partners with internal and external organizational resources to deliver high impact recruitment, retention and development initiatives.
Facilitates all facets of organizational design, including strategy, job content, job evaluation, and set-up of structure and people in data management systems.
Ensures unit/site organizational design and resource capability is in place to enable achievement of business goals (structure, headcount and costs, recruitment needs).
• Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, protecting the company from the consequences of violating employment and labor laws. Resolves sensitive matters and ensures alignment with McCormick values and policies.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
• 5-10 years of HR experience across multiple areas of HR, with 3+ years partnering with, managing, or providing consultation to a customer group
• Experience operationalizing strategy and partnering on projects and change initiatives
• Experience with diverse client groups and agility to work with matrixed functional areas and stakeholders.
Strong leadership and influencing skills including; superb communication, action-orientation, and proven consultancy skills (analysis, problem-solving, facilitation, developing and operationalizing business cases)
Ability to build trust and credibility across each level within organisation
Cultural astuteness, integrity and sound judgement
Strong knowledge of employment legislation and corporate guidelines related to all employment practices
Ability to predict and adapt to changing business trends
Ability to understand trends, prove via data, translate into actionable insight and influence changes
Strong business and financial savvy
Proven customer engagement abilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• MBA or Master’s degree in Human Relations or related field preferred
• SHRM, HRCI or World at Work Certification(s), Change Management Certification and/or Project Management Certifications; commensurate licenses or certifications for other organizations and countries
• Work experience in associated HR fields: Compensation & Benefits, Talent Management, or Organization Effectiveness
