Position Description
Senior Director, Strategic Market Analytics (GIS) – Realty
In this role, you will lead multiple large-scale project teams employing advanced analytics, with the goal of accurately predicting the needs of existing and future customers across markets and determining the most optimal locations for future access points to serve their needs. Examples of this include optimal locations for our traditional formats such as the supercenter or neighborhood market, or new access point types like a standalone pick-up location or areas most advantageous for home delivery.
Specifically, we are looking for candidates that have an affinity for designing a comprehensive program that employs analytical, statistical and numerical techniques in innovative ways to conduct spatially-informed analyses that net meaningful insights that you will ultimately guide your team to execute. With the insights you garner, you will partner and participate in business strategy discussions that will impact how we best leverage the above asset types across the entire US network.

You will make an impression if:
• You enjoy and are advanced in statistical analytical approaches (logistic regression, cluster & predictive analysis)
• You have an affinity for coding (Python, Arc GIS, Alteryx, Java)
• Proficient in data mining both internal (Teredata, DB2) and external (HR Data Warehouse, Nielson, Census, NCR, Experian, etc.)
• You enjoy visualizing data in new and exciting ways using Tabeau, Excel, PowerBI or other data visualization tools
• You have an advanced degree in Geographic Information Services or Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related STEM field
• You are an innately curious, critical thinker who see both the big picture and the details

Minimum Qualifications
3 years supervisory experience or experience leading project teams.
Bachelor s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, Political Science, or related field and 6 years experience conducting mathematical or statistical research, analysis and modeling intelligence, corporate security, or related area OR 8 years experience conducting mathematical or statistical research, analysis and modeling intelligence, corporate security, or related area.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems or related field and 4 years’ experience in analytics or related field and 4 years’ supervisory experience OR Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related STEM field and 10 years’ experience in analytics or related field and 4 years’ supervisory experience OR Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related STEM field and 8 years’ experience in analytics or related field and 2 years’ supervisory experience OR 10 years’ experience in analytics, project management, retail, or related field.
• Doctoral degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, or related STEM field.
• 8 years’ experience managing large scale change initiatives.
• 8 years’ experience requiring advanced statistical analyses and interpretation of results, including trend analysis and modeling.
• 8 years’ experience working with analytics software (for example, Tableau, Clementine, SAS, Alteryx), including proficiency in advanced application functions.
• 8 years’ experience in analytics consulting.
