Position Summary
Reporting to the Vice President - Revenue Cycle CVS Specialty and Coram, and a member of the Finance Operations Leadership Team, as the Senior Director –Revenue Cycle Operations for CVS Health, you will plan, develop and lead all functions that support the effective delivery of revenue cycle operations for both CVS Specialty and Coram, including: process improvement, customer service, training, quality, compliance, vendor management, robotics and automation, analytics and reporting.
The Senior Director - Revenue Cycle Operations is responsible for providing an enterprise approach to supporting the individual business lines and will work closely with the senior business leaders to ensure that services are aligned with each businesses strategic objectives. Where possible, the Senior Director – Revenue Cycle Operations will drive consistency and standardization across the businesses, which may include identification of key processes or functions that can be centralized into a shared services model.
In addition, the Senior Director - Revenue Cycle Operations will be responsible for generating new ideas that, when implemented, will allow the various departments to operation more efficiently and effectively.
This role requires exceptional leadership abilities and the ability to collaborate with leaders across multiple business lines in order to enhance quality, customer service and financial performance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Oversee approximately 80+ colleagues in multiple locations and in multiple lines of business.
2. Development and administration of a Revenue Cycle strategy and partnering with senior business leads to identify and drive solutions to complex business problems (30%)
3. Responsible for all strategic analytical and reporting activities within each of the separate business lines, as well as developing a cross company approach to consistently reporting metrics (18%).
4. Drive process innovation activities and strategic solutions to improve our operational efficiency and effect change management within the business. (10%)
5. Develop a vision for a redesigned Revenue Cycle training program that includes new industry leading content delivery capabilities. In addition, lead the efforts to create all Epic training content for the entire Coram organization. (10%)
6. Introduce the use of robotics technology to support the drive to automate manual processes across the departments (10%).
7. Lead the redesign of the Revenue Cycle quality review programs (5%)
8. Elevate customer service levels with the goal of achieving top level Press Ganey survey results (5%)
9. Create an annual strategic portfolio of initiatives to improve business operations. (5%)
10. Research industry trends and identify new service vendor who can support department goals. (5%)
11. Coordinate internal audit reviews (2%)
12. Assure compliance for all regulations associated with Government directed programs within the A/R area.
13. Management of specific projects as directed by senior management.
Required Qualifications
• 20 years of experience leading Revenue Cycle operations and employee development.
•10 years of experience in healthcare finance, third-party and receivables management
• Process improvement experience.
• Previous experience with system development, audits, program implementation, operations integration and staff training.
• Ability to travel 20-30%

• Extensive knowledge of healthcare insurance billing and collection functions for government and private payors.

Education
Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or a related field preferred. Master’s Degree highly preferred
