Position Summary
As Director for the Complex Chronic Care (Transformation) team, you will be accountable for managing a body of work to improve the cost of care, drive quality, and enhance the patient experience for individuals with complex chronic conditions. The complex chronic care solutions we develop will harness the power of our enterprise capabilities including our ~10,000 pharmacies, ~1,000 Minute Clinic locations and many other enterprise assets including Caremark, Specialty, Accordant, Coram and Aetna.
You will be responsible for creating value for CVSHealth and for our stakeholders by measuring leading indicators, driving health outcomes, and ultimately reducing medical cost. Areas of focus will include:
• Supporting the complex chronic care strategy, managing the development of strategic roadmaps, designing solutions, and driving continuous improvement and ongoing innovation as the program evolves. This includes planning, designing, and executing new pilot programs and capabilities to inform longer term strategic roadmap and approaches to commercialization and scale
• Developing a deep understanding of the many customers we serve including our patients and their caregivers, providers, and payors
• Building strong partnerships and collaborating across the enterprise with partners from sales and marketing, product development, clinical services, operations, technology and analytics
• Leading and conducting analytics, medical literature reviews, expert interviews, observations and pilots to confirm overall opportunity size, target population, and specific clinical opportunities
• Developing strategic perspective on an existing or a new enterprise opportunities (e.g. high-potential capabilities services) for common chronic disease states including sizing and assessing the markets, identifying risks/benefits of opportunities and recommending clinical growth strategies
• Recruiting, hiring and developing a diverse team of product resources to support creation and delivery of complex chronic capabilities and solutions through diagnosis, solution development, and measurement incorporating the company’s assets and delivery methods. Translating a vision into action including setting direction and deciding where, when and how your team should be investing its time and resources
• Using superior written and verbal communication skills and logic to prepare and present content for senior leaders in a way that is easily understood by others who may not have the same background or expertise and facilitates the right dialogue and decision making
This position may be located in either the Woonsocket, RI or the Wellesley, MA office.
Required Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree
• 7-12 years of experience in a role that involves strategic problem solving and/or new product development (e.g. consulting) and/or managing within a business unit
• 2 to 5 years of experience managing a team
