So we can continue to help others love how they live in moments that matter, the iconic brand is looking for a driven and passionate professional to raise the bar and join our Marketing department as a Sr. Art Director located in our Northbrook, IL corporate office.
The Sr. Art Director is responsible for leading the Email Creative team to create elevated email campaigns that will drive engagement and conversion and inspire our customers.
• Lead the design, presentation and photography concepts for email creative.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver a consistent and innovative consumer-first brand presentation across channels.
• Deepen customer engagement and conversion by driving the creation of innovative and engaging email campaigns
• Lead email campaigns from inception to launch, working collaboratively across design and copy on concepts and implementation.
• Develop thought leadership and high standards to the email program as well as support the email team to meet and exceed standards.
• Deliver and engage effective creative solutions against marketing briefs and content strategies.
• Develop overall email strategy and design In collaboration with Senior Manager(s).
• Understand the nuances of customer segments within the email channel and personalization opportunities to maximize relevancy and engagement.
• Maintain organized schedule of upcoming emails, identifying any potential conflicts in advance.
• Copy edit and provide feedback and recommendations on images / videos / gifs for all submissions.
• Ensure that all campaigns are aligned with the company’s overall strategy, branding, and marketing and sales goals.
• Work to enhance process and campaign performance to accelerate channel performance.
• Mentor the email creative team by providing critical hindsight and feedback.
• Create and maintain consistent email templates, standards and specifications.
• Consistently approach design projects from a user-centered perspective.
• Collaborate with design leads and external teams to ensure new email journeys are produced at standards that uphold/elevate the company’s brand identity.
• Build cross-functional relationships and interact daily with internal teams to support multi-channel initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of key performance metrics and incorporate them as part of the goals of the email designs.
Required Skills
• Must provide Portfolio link or PDF samples
Bachelor’s degree required, BFA in Graphic Design a plus
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
• Strong skills in design, specifically for the email channel and possess a complete understanding of email design best practices
• Strong typography skills
• Previous experience writing HTML email code
• Previous experience with animation and motion graphics
• Demonstrated passion for email and other digital channels
• Excellent knowledge of graphic design including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
• Excellent ability to successfully guide and move forward multiple projects at one time
• Proven ability to work in a team environment
• Leadership skills in mentoring and leading creative teams
