Requirements
Job Title: Director of Finance and Accounting
The Director of Finance and Accounting provides the full scope of financial leadership, including controllership function, operational analysis, and systems support. This individual has a central role in monitoring and driving the Division's income and profitability. This person is the leader and initiator of business and accounting control activities across the organization.
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:
• Supervise the day-to-day Division financial operations. This includes the preparation of monthly reporting; review of Divisional location and consolidated financial statements. Coordinate the accounting close for branch offices and supervision of accounting processes and controls.
• Lead controllership function by, working with the finance leaders to ensure compliance with company policy and procedures and ensuring they are adequately documented. Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, balance sheet, and income statement variance analysis each month.
• Key contributor in the design and implementation of new financial package, Recommends policies and standard operating procedures to drive change while securing adequate level of control.
• Establish and maintain proper monthly financial reporting. Assist in timely completion of the monthly and quarterly external reporting requirements. Ensure compliance with all US and foreign regulatory requirements including coordination with Tax department to ensure compliance with various tax regulations.
• Lead and support the division's growth by coordinating the business needs within financial systems across locations. This may also include the development of financial systems and processing in new business models and other acquisitions
• Coordinates business unit strategic and annual plan process and financial analysis. Prepare submission requirements, timetables, and ensure completed plan for the business unit and the Division. Responsible for providing updated forecast, gap analysis and cost savings opportunities for the division.
• Responsible for review, training, oversite and development of regional accounting teams.
• Responsibilities will include travel as needed to regional locations
To join our band, you'll need the following experience:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in, Finance or Accounting, or directly related field. CPA or MBA preferred.
• 8 years of financial experience, including accounting, financial analysis, and controllership type functions
• 4 to 6 years of proven work experience in Accounting Management or Finance Management
• In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and US accounting principles, internal controls, laws and best practices
• Strong demonstrated leadership
• Excellent analytical and financial skills
• Makes decisions and is able to convince management on their recommendations
• Leads and motivates people (both internal and external)
• Ability to adapt to different situations, cultures and people
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Knowledge of project percentage of completion accounting a plus
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Ability to travel when needed
Position Status
Full-time
