Position Title: Director of Marketing - Food Lion
Position Location: Salisbury, NC

Position Summary:
Develops integrated customer-focused marketing programs that effectively support Food Lion’s short and long-term business and marketing objectives and priorities. Delivers strategic leadership and oversight for Food Lion’s in-store and out-of-store marketing and brand management initiatives consistent with business objectives and metrics (sales, margin, image, market share, etc.). Builds effective partnerships between Food Lion Marketing and other departments and Shared Services required for facilitating an integrated, collaborative, cross-functional approach for developing and executing Food Lion’s brand strategy. Key partner with the Marketing Lead to develop the strategic Brand roadmap in order to create a stronger emotional connection with our core customers.
Create omni-channel marketing strategies, supported by innovative ideas that tie web, mobile, email, social, and traditional advertising together to provide marketing solutions based on customer insight and data
Responsible for the Brand's integrated planning process through strong collaboration with category and merchandising in order to focus on larger, more strategic programs based on core customer insights
Leads, manages and develops a team of associates in roles supporting Food Lion’s strategic marketing and brand building efforts
Responsible for developing, rationalizing, planning and managing marketing department budgets
Monitors, evaluates and reports on results of marketing programs in the context of marketplace and competitive dynamics and appropriately modifies strategies and programs based on corresponding objectives, results and competitive dynamics
Establishes priorities and effectively allocates and focuses marketing resources to maximize impact consistent with business and brand goals and objectives
Directs and manages external strategic relationships designed to enhance Food Lion’s brand value through customer-focus-informed marketing strategies and plans
Responds quickly to increasingly complex and competitive marketing dynamics
Evaluates Food Lion corporate sponsorships. Evaluate, negotiate and activate consumer and brand relevant affiliations in support of sales driving initiatives, segmentation, cultural and ethnic groups
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and marketing experience
10 years’ experience and proven success developing and executing comprehensive, integrated consumer targeted marketing programs and campaigns
Strong financial planning and budgeting experience
Cross-functional leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to build cross-functional teams
Demonstrated management expertise
Demonstrated consistent ability with time management and attention to detail
Seasoned level of knowledge for company, business and industry practices
Preferred Qualification:
Master’s Degree
Demonstrated ability to develop an annual marketing plan based on core target insights
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to build and lead teams through the development of strong working relationships and alliances within the company
Retail experience
