PANDORA is currently recruiting for a Director, Digital Marketing to join the US team. In this newly created role, you will play an integral role in the development of our media plans and execution. This position requires an experienced leader who is creative and a strategic thinker – someone whom can combine marketing strategy and digital marketing techniques to make a big impact on our business strategy and help us achieve our goals. They will work closely with region marketing teams to influence global media playbooks and share local market performance and feedback. The Director, Digital Marketing will liaise and partner with our agency partners, aligning to ways of working, briefs, quarterly reviews, and measurement plans as provided by Regional and Global guidance.
Responsibilities include:
Digital Media Planning and Execution
• Influence and guide our paid digital, social and traditional media strategy to drive optimization and conversion
• Ensure execution excellence by auditing and challenging on-going execution by agencies and other 3rd parties (weekly)
• Own and create audience strategy and activation using 1st and 3rd party data (e.g. Clutch, DSP/programmatic, Facebook)
• Support in creating and following up on a holistic media strategy, budgets and media planning across all touch points (using econometric modelling tool as input – but not owning technical aspects of the model)
• Oversee the implementation of our tech stack with consumer centric approach in partnership with Global
• Identifying opportunities and define potential media pilots to improve media efficiency and effectiveness
• Continually research, evaluate and test new lead generation channels and technologies to learn and improve targeting and acquisition
• Lead optimizing our data strategy to improve local activation plans
• Affiliate: Handle budgeting, execution and optimization of affiliate marketing program
• Manage media and other agency partners, ensuring optimal resourcing, timely briefings, and a deep understanding of the brand and business opportunities, challenges and plans
• Interact and collaborate with media agency on reviewing weekly performance reports by market
CRM/Email
• Oversee email campaigns including overall strategy, messaging, email acquisition, and solutions to increase email conversion rates
Social Media
• Develop and maintain the US organic and paid social calendar based on our Global calendar and strategy, as well as market needs. This includes the oversight of adapted and original copy, as well as content.
• Liaise regularly with Brand, Retail, PR and Ecomm to keep an updated calendar of promotions and partnerships to push on social – both organically and paid
• Ongoing testing and optimization of paid media spend based on output and business goals
Reporting and Analytics
• Develop clear and concise results analysis reporting templates that demonstrate an understanding of our markets media mix through providing a cross-channel holistic view
• Present actionable insights to improve campaign performance
• Review and provide feedback on performance dashboard in line with Regional and Global KPIs
• Leverage global and local tools to communicate performance results by campaign
• Compile learnings and provide continuity between campaigns
• Share results and analysis with leadership and key cross-functional partners
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Media Management. MBA preferred.
Minimum 7-10 years of relevant marketing, media, agency experience
Industry: Retail, Affordable Luxury, Consumer Goods, Beauty. Agency media experience is required.
