Zone Human Resources Director
This is a senior-level Human Resources position responsible for all HR Support functions within the assigned territory / Zone. The responsibilities of this position include: staffing and placement, associate relations, disciplinary counseling guidance, wage and hour and legal compliance, salary administration, and the professional development of the Human Resources regional team members
ESSENTIAL ACTIVIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for managing calls, investigations, and resolutions for all associate connection calls and any associate relations issues in the assigned territory.
• Responsible for providing guidance to Regional Directors, District Managers and Store Managers on appropriate disciplinary actions.
• Partners with Zone VP and RD to plan for RD, DM, and SM future management needs.
• Responsible for managing the recruiting and job posting efforts for the assigned zone.
• Assists with developing plans to infuse talent into the organization.
• Manage the SMT and MIT recruiting efforts for the assigned Zone so that SM Vacancies and time-to-fill are kept to a minimum.
• Manage total Field Management “bench” for assigned Zone.
• Responsible for ensuring wage and hour compliance within the assigned Zone.
• Manage compliance efforts for all legal-related topics within the Zone.
• Assist with wage compliance for all levels of the Zone (RD and below).
• Responsible for approving all SM and DM pay rates in accordance with established Dollar Tree compensation structure.
• Log, investigate, and resolve customer service complaints.
• Responsible for the development of all members of the Zone HR team, Regional HR Managers and Field Recruiters.
• Direct responsibility over their Zone’s budget and performance of other members of the Zone HR team.
• Responsible for assisting with training efforts for HR-related topics within the Zone.
• Assist, where applicable, with the Risk Management/Workers’ Comp process.
• This position is responsible for constant coverage of their assigned territory, including night and weekend availability. Travel up to 50% of the time is required.
Experience /Education
7+ years HR Experience
Bachelors Degree (BA/BS/BFA) or equivalent
Certification
Human Resources Certification preferred
This Position will be based in Atlanta, Metro Market
