Position Summary

As the Director, Promotional Marketing, you will help lead innovation and optimization of Marketing activities that work hard to drive the customer in our stores and win share of her trip driving missions. You will be responsible for key focus areas include relevant Seasonal moments that resonate with the shoppers’ mindset, and hardworking Value efforts across Affiliate Channels, Bank Partnerships, and other Strategic Partnerships.
You will be responsible for ensuring alignment on strategy, budget, measurement, and optimization with key business partners, Marketing leadership, and cross-functional partners. This role will mentor a team of 4 Senior Managers to continuously unlock insights that deliver value to our shoppers in new and relevant ways. Through structured tests, you will explore opportunities to increasingly motivate shoppers to visit our stores. Specifically, you will lead teams that are driving the following: Seasonal Marketing, New Item/Program Marketing, Affiliate Marketing, and Bank/Strategic Partnership.
Primary Role and Responsibility:
• Identifies the key broad consumer-facing moments, whether seasonal (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Halloween, Christmas) or promo driven, across the year to drive maximum FS sales and traffic impact
◦ Drives messaging hierarchy, timing, budget, and prioritization across the organization
◦ Recommends and optimizes channel mix across P/O/E channel, ranging from targeted to broad awareness, as appropriate
◦ Leads consumer research, concept development, and campaign execution across P/O/E
• Develops and delivers marketing strategy and plans across owned assets and paid media channels:

Research, strategy, and platform development
Distribution through strategic partnerships (always on, search, banks, etc.)
Identify and test new opportunities to deliver value
◦ Affliate Marketing strategy and execution (ecomm and site-to-store)

• Maintains support for select categories and CPGs (Hallmark, GM, Gift Cards, Snapfish, Kodak) to keep them informed of category marketing plans; partners on upcoming opportunities
• Manages cross-functional teams to deliver marketing campaigns on time and on budget
• Builds business plans for growth opportunities and annual planning
• Mentors team to articulate roles and responsibilities, sets accountability and provides feedback on performance.
• Aligns with business partners and Customer Analytics on KPIs. Partners with Customer Analytics to establish program measurement plans and reporting.
Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of marketing experience with a strong foundation of business, retailer, and consumer understanding.
• 6+ years cross-functional leadership experience.
• 4+ years of retail marketing, CPG, or retail agency/strategy experience.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or Master's Degree preferred
Education
Bachelor’s Degree required, in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
