Position Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
The Pricing Analytics team conducts advanced modeling and analytics in order to provide strategic and actionable insights to leadership and category merchants. The Director Price Strategy will be responsible for helping to drive the Company's strategic pricing agenda and will play a key role in developing and automating the Company s price platform. This individual will have a leading role in driving pricing initiatives and tests across departments and geographies. In addition, this individual will work cross-functionally to support the build-out of our pricing analytics models and technologies. Finally, this individual will help drive our competitive intelligence function and capability development.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Determines strategy to lead the Pricing Analytics team in creating value through regional price strategies, category price analytics, competitive intelligence and pricing tools, and development
Provides leaders and business partners with actionable insights on pricing opportunities through frequent, proactive communication as well as clear and concise presentations and reports
Consults business partners on the appropriate use of statistical and quantitative modeling and analysis techniques to inform their decision-making process
Manage Bulk price and NLP selection and reporting in partnership with merchandising departments.
Work with marketing, advertising, operations, and merchants to drive price tests and initiatives
Conduct competitive data analysis
Work to build-out and refine our competitive intelligence capabilities
Establish and maintain price testing roadmap to enable the Company to create value through live structure engineering and regional pricing
NATURE AND SCOPE
Position Reports to Sr. Director, Pricing Strategy
Typically manages 3-5 direct reports
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Education Required:
The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience:6 years
Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Advanced degree
Strong process and analytical skills
Project management experience
Ability to multi-task in a highly complex, ambiguous environment
Understanding of retail and the core business drivers
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies: Familiarity with pricing analytics and strategy
Knowledge of merchandising, as well as other related functions (marketing, operations, etc.)
Ability to build relationships across functions and influence decisions
Strategic thinking and competitive analysis
Ability to pick new concepts up quickly; adaptability in a changing environment
Takes the initiative, often times where minimal direction may be given
Proficient in Power Point and Excel
Knowledge of statistical, econometric, quantitative analysis
Understanding of computational methods and applicability to business problems
