Job Description
DIRECTOR OF RECRUITING AND TRAINING
The Director of Recruiting and Training creates, implements, and manages effective results-driven strategies, processes, and programs to attract high quality talent supporting organizational performance and growth for all of Lithia. In coordination with Executive Management, Lithia Hiring Managers and Recruiting team, this position identifies needs and provides best-in-class solutions for the hiring and development of high-potential talent. This position oversees our Recruiting and Learning and Development teams.
The Director of Recruiting and Training reports to the Chief Human Resource Officer, SVP
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
• Develop and implement candidate sourcing and recruitment strategies that align with Lithia Long Range Planning and Core Values.
• Lead, develop, and manage an ambitious high-performing recruiting team and grow the organizations capability to attract top talent
• Create, manage, and support national regional and local Recruiting and sourcing programs, including but not limited to: University Relations, Internships, Employee Referrals, Technician recruiting etc.
• Initiate proactive solutions enhancing talent branding and social media content and reach.
• Source, pre-screen and interview candidates for the corporate office, executive positions, and/or other critical need positions
• Support and develop long term best practices for external management recruiting efforts in all regions. Actively participate in management staffing conversations at local, regional and cooperate levels.
• Provide resources and support to our Lithia Hiring Managers and Recruiting Team.
• Analyzes recruitment sourcing ROI to maximize effectiveness of Attracting and Retaining talent while managing cost.
• Manage and cultivate communications/relationships with hiring managers throughout organization.
• Lead the Learning and Development team in our efforts to create a culture of continuous improvement
• Ensure we have proper learning resources to help our team-members advance their skills and knowledge
• Ensure an easy transparent on-boarding experience for all new team members.
• Partner with HRBP on workforce strategy and keep them informed of appropriate items
• Perform other duties as assigned
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
• 5+ years of experience in Recruiting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
• Capable of working with C-level Executives
• Strong ability to be a "closer" in a highly competitive market.
• Capable of handling multiple tasks, problem resolution, and prioritization, and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and networks.
• Ability to follow-up, communicate effectively and work with all levels within an organization.
• Ability to handle and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Working knowledge of employment systems, preferably iCIMS/Workday.
• Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.
• Strong computer skills including proficiency with the Internet.
• Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
• Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and other tools/social media as well as proactive recruiting and sourcing.
• Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Lithia Hiring Requirements
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 18 years or older
• Possess an acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license in state of residence
• A criminal history background check will be conducted prior to beginning employment
• Clear pre-employment drug screen
