Position Description
Communicate with Customers, suppliers, and/or other Wal-Mart associates verbally or in writing.
Manage and develop associates and supervisors in area of responsibility by assigning duties and coordinating workloads; communicating goals,
monitoring performance, and providing feedback; teaching and supporting company policies and procedures; and participating in the hiring,
promotion, coaching, training, and evaluation of associates and supervisors.
Manage financial aspects in area of responsibility by monitoring and tracking expenses; monitoring asset utilization; and preparing, reviewing, and/or
analyzing business reports.
Maintain quality and safety standards in area of responsibility by ensuring associates and supervisors are trained company policies and procedures;
distributing and maintaining procedures and supporting documentation; monitoring compliance with policies, procedures, standards and area
production goals; and identifying and resolving internal/external Customer associate, and supervisor concerns.
Minimum Qualifications
6 months experience as a Wal-Mart Optical Supervisor OR 1 year experience as a Wal-Mart Supervisor (non-optical) OR 2 years external work
experience in a management role (incl. supervisor) leading a team of five or more supervisors and/or employees
Additional Preferred Qualifications
1 year experience as a Wal-Mart Optical Supervisor
2 years experience as a Wal-Mart supervisor (non-optical)
Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field (for example, Logistics, Business Administration, Economics)
2 years external work experience in a management role (incl. supervisor) leading a team of five or more supervisors and/or employees
Previous experience using MS-Office tools (for example, PowerPoint, Word)
American Board of Opticianry (ABO) certification
