Position Summary
CVS is seeking a new Director to join the Front Store team that has been tasked with identifying and executing multi-billion dollars of growth over the next 3-5 years. In this role, you will work on high priority strategic projects within the VP of Promotion and Store Design’s organization. Examples of recent projects include the development of a new store format for CVS, the launch of industry leading assortment analytics or the roll out of a new business to CVS’s chain. All strategic projects are expected to generate high impact and visibility.
This role would suit someone with a strong interest in retail, a robust strategic background and a passion for delivering results.
You will be a creative, out-of-the-box thinker who is intellectually curious with a demonstrated interest in learning. Additionally, you will need to be a self-motivated, entrepreneurial, high-energy individual who can easily function in a high demand, performance-driven environment. You must be accustomed to working on multiple tasks in parallel and demonstrate cross functional engagement, best demonstrated by the individual’s ability to gain credibility with team members and senior management.
Required Qualifications
Strategy Consulting and/or Retail experience: A minimum of three years of post MBA professional experience at a leading strategy consulting firm (e.g. Bain, BCG, McKinsey) or relevant retail company (e.g. Drug, Mass, Health, Beauty)
Preferred Qualifications
Structured and Logical Thinking: the ability to dissect a problem into an organized approach and quickly form a hypothesis against which to run test analysis.
Analytical Rigor: the ability to run and manage highly complicated quantitative analysis in a defect-free manner. Mastery of Microsoft Excel is critical to this role.
Powerful Communication: the ability to communicate effectively and succinctly, both verbally and on paper. Mastery of Microsoft PowerPoint is critical to this role.
Cross functional engagement: Highly developed relationship-building skills to foster effective working relations across the Retail Merchandising team, functional and divisional leaders, and the Corporate Executive Committee.
Education
BA, MBA strongly preferred
