Job Description
Raymour and Flanigan Furniture, the Northeast's largest and fastest growing furniture retailer, is searching for a Regional Vice President of Human Resources for our Long Island/ Queens market. This role is an integral part of the senior management team for the Metropolitan NY business market. He /she will be responsible for all HR related functions for the associate and management population in the region, partnering with the Sales, Operations and Customer Care Leaders within the region and the HR Central Services team in the corporate office. This position includes three direct reports.
Attributes:
• Ability to quickly build relationships and partner with regional staff to build and retain professional teams across multiple locations.
• Partner with corporate HR staff to provide excellent HR services to the associate population of the region as it relates to benefits, compensation, risk management, and compliance related matters.
• Lead a team that will continue our efforts to communicate, educate, engage and empower our associates
• Provide world class training and orientations to the associates and leaders.
• Provide consulting services on legal compliance, organizational development, safety, and other HR related subjects.
• A desire to help others and to provide exemplary service and quick turn around on sensitive issues.
• Experience with multi-unit desired with an understanding of how the business works and how HR can add to the business.
Qualifications / Requirements:
• Must reside in or near the Long Island demographic area.
• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• Minimum of five years in a HR leadership role.
• Flexible work schedule including some early mornings, nights and weekends.
• Ability to travel extensively within the region.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with a coaching and consultative approach to problem solving.
• Ability to build influence with the executive team, management team, and associates at all levels.
• Demonstrated HR technical knowledge in areas of compliance with the ability to apply the knowledge in a strategic and focused manner.
• Experience with payroll, benefits, unemployment, and worker's compensation.
