The Home Depot Rental Division operates in over 1100 locations of The Home Depot across the US and Canada, offering large towable equipment, tools, trucks and trailer rental along with on-site equipment delivery. The large equipment fleet includes trenchers, chippers, mini-excavators, skid steers, aerial work platform equipment, and tractor loader backhoes among others. We have a large team of highly trained technicians, shop techs, and VIP Delivery Technicians and customer care associates throughout the United States and Canada.

Job Summary
The Home Depot Rental content copywriter position develops new content and product copy for print advertising, digital and online, social media and other various media. Involves story ideation, creative concepting, writing, editing, visual communication and content curation from social influencers, vendors and enterprise partners. Ensures the accuracy of content, editorial consistency and correct brand positioning. Promotes THD events and special offers. Works with merchants, marketing teams and agencies to develop key messaging to drive Rental objectives and goals. Meets and/or exceeds all assigned deadlines often requiring decision-making skills.
Key Responsibilities
• Generate and curate content for social media platforms, web pages, blog posts, and other mediums. Content could range from original blog posts featuring seasonal projects or equipment specifications to infographics to product catalogs and brochures.
• Develop print ad messaging utilized for newsletters, outdoor, sales marketing and in-store signage.
• Review, write and edit product copy to adhere with online data standards and brand guidelines for assigned categories.
• Develop and write original promotional copy for all assigned categories; negotiate with merchants and other enterprise partners on tone and content to promote and protect the THD brand.
• Proofread and ensure all copy and messaging is error-free, on target and adhere with company standards and brand guidelines and is consistent with the department’s objectives and vision.
• Serve as a copy and informational resource to internal and external partners.
• Stay abreast of industry writing, editorial trends and the competitive landscape.
• Self-manage and prioritize workload; communicate deadline issues to team members and management.

Physical Job Requirements -Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
