Summary
The Recruiting Support Specialist is a utility player that has an interest in recruiting, but isn’t afraid to learn the behind-the-scenes operations that makes the department run smoothly. This person will be the subject matter expert on the applicant tracking system, immigration and sponsorship process, as well as ad hoc reporting.
Scope
• Processes and adjudicates all incoming background checks while maintaining FCRA and other local/state statutory compliance laws. Ensures all manual orders are submitted within a timely fashion and maintains the background check database on a daily basis. Responds to requests for reports and questions from leaders across the business. Leads the bi-weekly performance calls with third party vendor to ensure all processes and technologies are working as expected.
• Maintains the system and integrity of HR systems by overseeing daily run-thebusiness activities. This includes the trouble-shooting and resolution of onboarding soft errors, Traitify daily errors and other manual adjustments. In addition, this position provides technical assistance to the field regarding recruiting and onboarding support submitted through a Google document.
• Subject matter expert on the application tracking system, specifically the recruiting and onboarding modules. Acts as the liaison between recruiting and HRIS with regards to quarterly releases, upgrades and implementations. Evaluates, processes, tests and supports system-related tasks for various systems.
• Develops, generates and places into production any ad hoc and recurring reports. Ensure distribution to customers is appropriate and completed timely. Generate data necessary to compute descriptive and predictive HR analytics and metrics information using queries and/or manipulating data in Excel spreadsheets, Access databases or other analytical tools
• Subject matter expert and liaison between JOANN team members and our third party law firm that advises on immigration matters. Handles with confidentiality and care each team member’s case, and acts quickly to support the sponsorship of their work visa.
Education Requirements
• Minimum: Bachelor's Degree or related work experience.
Experience
• Minimum: 0-2 years in a similar position.
• Preferred: Previous SAP/HR system administrator experience.
Other Skills
• Advanced skill-level in MS Excel and MS Access. Working experience using Crystal Report Writer or other report-writing/data extraction tools.
