Summary
The Assistant Store Floor Planning Data Analyst will evaluate and analyze project data, inclusive of associated financials, fixtures accessories and reporting. Partners in establishing effective systems for documentation and retention. Supports the Division in the accurate and efficient execution of company initiatives and projects..
Scope
• Data subject matter expert. · Extracts, analyzes, and formats data from various business systems to provide recommendations for divisional and cross-functional team processes. · Uses floor planning tools to optimize space productivity and enhance the customer experience in new and remodel stores. · Evaluates space-to-sales performance and influences buying and allocation decisions with responsible functional areas. · Demonstrates financial acumen and familiarity with retail KPIs. · Understands retail functions that drive inventory levels and the impact on floor planning. · Partners to create and manage the project calendar. · Manages timing of the product listing process in new and project stores.
• Responsible for database architecture design, application coding, SQL development, Visual Basic, and systems support. · Supports the functionality and integrated performance of JDA CKB data, space, and floor planning to drive efficiency and accuracy. · Performs daily and weekly database functions, ensuring data accuracy and synchronization. · Supports further system design, testing, development, and troubleshooting, as needed. · Assists in the management of database user and group security. · Supervises systems documentation and ongoing training of all functions pertaining to divisional databases and corresponding reporting. · Develops and maintain all user manuals for database applications. · Contributes to the continual assessment and improvement of processes and procedures.
• Owns planogram fixture accessory analysis and process. · Partners to transform process of fixture purchasing and communication with fixture buyers. · Accurately forecasts fixture accessory needs for all planogram and company initiatives. · Manages fixture procurement and development process, serving as liaison between Merchandise Presentation Planning and Fixture Buying. · Create and manage fixture cost estimates and orders.
Education Requirements
• Minimum: 2 Year Associate's Degree
• Preferred: 4 Year Bachelor's Degree in application development, VBA, or SQL
Experience
• Required: 0 - 2 years – Entry level professional
• Preferred: Experience in data and systems management and project management.
Other Skills
• Proficient in MS ACCESS or any Enterprise Database Solution. At least 1 year experience coding in Visual Basic or a similar coding language. At least 1 year experience writing SQL or a similar database structured language. Familiarity with JDA CKB, Floor Planning, and/or Space Planning preferred. Basic understanding of Microsoft Office programs. * Ability to analyze the financial data; solid working knowledge of math fundamentals * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Strong organization skills * Thorough attention to detail, accuracy, and follow through while maintaining deadline focus * Time management skills, ability to handle multiple deadlines and changing priorities * Adaptable to frequent change and situations. * Ability to communicate and facilitate meetings effectively with many levels within the organization * Great attitude and customer service orientation.
