Job Description Details
The Director, Applications Development, OMS will be responsible for leading the global implementation of an Order Management System (OMS) for Qurate Retail Group. The scope of the OMS will include Order Orchestration and Order Lifecycle. This will require direct involvement or strong integration with Supply Chain, Order Capture, and Payment applications.
Scope for the OMS implementation covers the Global Qurate Retail Group, specifically focusing on the QVC and HSN brands. QVC currently operates in the US, UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Japan. HSN currently operated in the US.
Responsibilities
• Directs teams, ensuring they are working together effectively. Partners with and integrates across other areas of the company, resolving conflicts and managing competing priorities, to provide a complete solution.
• Accountable for the technical direction of the group, leveraging technical experts and fostering technical innovation.
• Designs and sets department objectives and participates in setting division and/or corporate-related goals.
• Ensures quality, compliance and fiscal standards are met for the department.
• Develops department budget and ensures budget objectives are achieved through managers and other team members.
• Makes hiring decisions
• Responsible for all performance-related activities, including performance reviews and any disciplinary recommendations. Makes compensation decisions.
• Participates in planning and review of potential mergers and acquisitions.
• Implements strategies to attract, retain, motivate and develop talent in their organization.
• Other duties, responsibilities, and activities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in computer sciences or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of practical Team Lead experience supporting business-critical OMS systems and managing support teams made up of onshore/offshore resources.
• Minimum experience of 2 large scale full life cycle OMS implementations; leadership role required for 1 implementation.
• Broad working knowledge in a leading OMS application is required (i.e IBM Sterling Commerce, Manhattan Active Omni).
• Experience in leading successful OMS implementations through the project lifecycle.
• Broad working knowledge of Retail industry business processes.
• Deep expertise in Supply Chain or Customer Facing (Order Entry, Customer Service, and/or Payment services) applications.
• Deep expertise in vendor management and experience with managing System integrators.
• Experience in Agile Methodology.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with both On Prem and Cloud implementations is strongly preferred.
• Experience with operating in a SOX and IT General Computing Control (GCC) environment is strongly preferred.
