Job Description Details
The Director of Applications Development – SAP will be responsible for leading the global implementation of SAP S/4 HANA Finance and SAP S/4 HANA Fashion for Qurate Retail Group (QRG). This role will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for the SAP Technology roadmap as well as creating an internal SAP center of excellence organization. This role will require partnering with leaders in Finance, Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Internal Audit to create and deliver an SAP program that migrates QRG to the SAP S/4 HANA platform.
The scope for SAP Implementation will cover Global Qurate Retail Group (all QVC markets, HSNi, and Zulily brands). We are expecting this Leader to help build and expand our Center of Excellence. This Leader will also be responsible for overseeing the System Integrator involved with the SAP implementation effort.
Responsibilities include:
• Directs teams, ensuring they are working together effectively. Partners with and integrates across other areas of the company, resolving conflicts and managing competing priorities, to provide a complete solution.
• Accountable for the technical direction of the group, leveraging technical experts and fostering technical innovation.
• Designs and sets department objectives and participates in setting division and/or corporate-related goals.
• Ensures quality, compliance and fiscal standards are met for the department.
• Develops department budget and ensures budget objectives are achieved through managers and other team members.
• Makes hiring decisions
• Responsible for all performance-related activities, including performance reviews and any disciplinary recommendations. Makes compensation decisions.
• Participates in planning and review of potential mergers and acquisitions.
• Implements strategies to attract, retain, motivate and develop talent in their organization.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in computer sciences or equivalent is required; Master's Degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of practical Team Lead experience implementing and supporting SAP applications.
• Minimum of 2 years managing COE support services for a SAP installation.
• Minimum experience of 2 large scale full life cycle SAP implementations. One of those experiences should be in a Leadership capacity.
• Broad working knowledge in SAP is required. Experience in the SAP S/4 HANA platform is required.
• Experience in either S/4 Finance or S/4 Fashion is required.
• Experience with operating in a SOx and IT General Computing Control (GCC) environment is strongly preferred.
• Experience leading an SAP Center of Excellence is required.
• Experience with both On Prem and Cloud implementations is strongly preferred.
• Experience in leading a successful SAP implementation through the project lifecycle is required.
• Broad working knowledge of Retail industry business processes is preferred.
• Deep expertise in vendor management and experience with managing System integrators is required.
• Experience in Agile Methodology is strongly preferred.
