Responsibilities:
• Retailer and shopper insights as gleaned through syndicated data.
• National brand platforms and strategy information.
• Manage and report co-marketing budget.
• Retailer presentation and sell-in process.
• Tracking and reporting program status and budget updates.
• Understand retailer objectives to target programming; Provide guidance and insight to other Client teams as “retailer expert”.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required; MBA Degree or equivalent experience is preferred
• 8+ years of experience in leadership/management in agency or brand management, including experience in customer-specific marketing with national grocery retailers
• 5+ years of team supervisory experience
• Ability to make oral presentations
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment

Position Summary
The Director of Client Services functions as the leader of strategic planning, execution, and communication for Client-based promotional programs at a specific national retailer or a group of regional retailers. Primary role is to provide leadership and critical thinking in the conception, development, sell-in, and execution of promotional program calendars in conjunction with Company and Client personnel. A successful Director will focus on planning, concept development, commitment to executional excellence, and delivering results that are in concert with Client and retailer initiatives.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Develop strategic account-specific programs
• Retailer and shopper insights as gleaned through syndicated data
• National brand platforms and strategy information
• Agency creative team-brainstorming and concept development
• Sales insights and objectives
• Manage and report co-marketing budget
Execution of planned programs
• Retailer presentation and sell-in process
• Overseeing research and negotiation with third party properties, events, and media organizations
• Determining project components including concept, event, media, POS materials, and other associated costs
• Tracking and reporting program status and budget updates
• Communicating with creative team to develop program artwork
Establish relationships with key retailer contacts to facilitate program sell-in and execution
• Understand retailer objectives to target programming
• Provide guidance and insight to other Client teams as “retailer expert”
• Maintain “closest to the customer” positioning
• Administer reporting of in-market execution and effectiveness of promotional programs as well as working with Strategic Planning & Insights team to deliver post-promotional evaluations
Supervisory Responsibilities

Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources
Indirect Reports
May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

Minimum Qualifications

Education Level:
(Required) Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
(Preferred)MBA Degree or equivalent experience
Field of Study/Area of Experience:
• 8+ years of experience in leadership/management in agency or brand management, including experience in customer-specific marketing with national grocery retailers
• 5+ years of team supervisory experience
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
• Ability to make oral presentations
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment
• Good interpersonal skills
• Strong written communication and verbal communication skills
• Ability to complete multiple duties with accuracy shifting from one to another with frequent interruptions and competing deadlines
• Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers
Environmental & Physical Requirements

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
