As a Starbucks director, Talent Management, you will have accountability for targeted talent/candidate identification, selection & development focused on our most senior talent. In addition, your team will be responsible for talent management processes and resources applied throughout all functions and levels. You will continually seek new talent management approaches. You will leverage the unique talents of your team and partner with senior Partner Resources leaders as you play a pivotal role in identifying and implementing talent management tools and processes including; talent discussions, executive recruiting and selection, succession planning and accelerated development identification.
Leveraging your previous experience, we will enable you to:
• Monitor external trends on talent and develop leading edge capabilities to apply and create the best talent management practices for Starbucks
• Work with Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Partner Resources (PRO) senior leaders to create a consistent talent review and succession planning process that gives all leaders line of sight into the health of the talent pipeline
• Work with our analytics team to determine appropriate talent metrics
• In partnership with Partner Resources (PRO) senior leadership, ensure successful talent discussion processes and ensure that succession plans are in place
• Partner with senior leadership to target key external talent pools, drive internal movement and ensure key talent is considered for critical positions
• Design talent processes and solutions that scale and adapt to Starbucks evolving talent needs
• Provide business requirements for enabling succession planning systems
• Serve as a strategic advisor, functional expert, and thought partner on key talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies

• Experience with Talent Management Systems and the ability to provide strong business requirements
