Job Description
SUMMARY
The primary purpose of this position is to work closely with the business unit management team on marketing services.
This position will develop and implement programs to support our growth and services that drive both customer growth
and retention while being responsible for managing the budget to meet deliverables. Frequent independent judgments
are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid’s brand and strategy and
adhere to our core values and service attributes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:
• Develop and execute marketing strategies in area of responsibility that support and deliver corporate business
objectives.
• Provide marketing expertise, market trend insights and strong industry knowledge to partner with the business
unit and suppliers to exceed service goals.
• Lead the creation and implementation of marketing strategies and tactics that drive customer acquisition,
retention and growth.
• In coordination with Advertising and agency partners, develop marketing briefs and manage the creation and
production of all marketing communications.
• In coordination with our CRM team, provide regular reporting and a complete analysis of executed programs,
along with post-event learnings and recommendations.
• Apply financial discipline in managing budgets, measuring return on investment (ROI) and building business
cases.
• Work closely with the Rite Aid legal team, develop, implement, and maintain marketing programs that are
compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and other consumer
privacy requirements.
• Provide input for the annual marketing strategic plan, supporting tactics and budget, including initiatives to
acquire and retain customers.
Experience / Requirements
• Five (5) years' of experience in Marketing required.
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) required.
• Equivalent combination of experience/education is accepted.
