POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will be responsible for all HR activities for the US Consumer Products Divison. The incumbent will provide HR leadership and expertise that contributes to long-term profitable growth by developing and implementing practices that attract, deploy, motivate, develop, retain and reward employees, and drive high performance.
RESPONSIBILITES:
• Contribute to HR strategy and policy development at Global, Regional and Local levels.
• Provide business partnering capability to lead People strategy definition and implementation.
• Support, coach, and influence business leaders (front-line leadership through senior executives) to effectively lead their teams and achieve high performance in their business/function.
• Consult senior leadership on matters of organizational design, structure, capability, and capacity requirements, making and implementing recommendations to achieve business objectives.
• Provide people-related insights, analysis, and recommendations for business change programs and lead organizational change projects, ensuring adherence to employment practice / local legislation and alignment to McCormick Culture and Values.
• Provide expert advice/guidance and effective management of employee relations issues in alignment with McCormick Culture and Values.
• Formulate and drive employee engagement initiatives such that employees know and feel their value to McCormick.
• Lead, coordinate, andmonitor all people-related processes, ensuring the appropriate level of planning and execution has taken place.
• Select, lead, motivate, and develop a team of HR professionals.
• Lead activities to evolve and advance HR practices that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and deliver improved service levels to internal clients (employees and management).
• Manage headcount and associated cost to deliver SG&A targets.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Relations, Business or related
• Minimum of 10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 of those being in strategic HR business partner functions such as workforce planning, talent management, change management and employee relations
• Exposure to a multi-site/cultural/product environment is essential as is experience of working in an international customer/consumer facing business.
• Used to working in a highly results-oriented and performance-driven environment, with a focus on excellence.
• Strong demonstration of facilitation, multi-cultural, international, matrix working effectiveness and change management leadership.
• Experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects and programs.
• Experience defining organizational needs and consulting on and leading the design and implementation of organizational improvement (e.g., efficiency, effectiveness, engagement) initiatives
• Demonstrable track record of cost/financial management.
• Functional competence in desktop applications (i.e., Microsoft Office), virtual collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint), and video-conferencing technologies.
• Experience managing organization-wide change efforts.
• Strong technical skills, experience of a ‘best-in-class’ HR Practices and Processes including McCormick HPO.
• Excellent influencing skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bi-lingual in Spanish
• Master’s degree in Human Resources, L&D or related
• CPLP or SPHR/PHR certification
• Change Management certification
• Experience working as an external consultant
• Experience working in a manufacturing plant environment
