Position Summary
The Senior Director, Continuous Improvement will have accountability and oversight for leading the development and implementation of key transformational projects/initiatives for Omnicare. This role will partner with key internal stakeholders to develop and execute on complex project plans to drive productivity and reinforce a culture of Service F1rst.
Key Responsibilities include:
Leads the development of project planning, resource management, and ensures project timelines and budgets are established and adhered to
• Actively identifies operational and program issues, facilitates development of team recommendations and action options, and ensures appropriate escalation to Senior Leadership
• Utilizes continuous improvement tools and methodology to conduct root cause analysis
• Partners with team and department leadership to identify options to de-risk project plans and capitalize on opportunities.
• Leads risk identification and risk mitigating planning
• Ensures project teams follow established standards and standard methodologies
• Manages functional interdependencies and collaborating with the team to identify and resolve project-related issues, and call out issues and risks as necessary
• You lead change management planning and execution for projects. Ensures effective, accurate, and timely communication of project information to meet the needs of identified partners.
• Utilizes negotiation, facilitation, meeting management, and conflict resolution skills to enhance cross-functional team performance.
• Facilitates project post-mortems with all key partners and identify key areas for process improvements
• Manage large, virtual team

• 5-7 years of successfully running and implementing complex, cross-functional projects
• Proven experience using Six Sigma or other Quality Management tools
• Solid knowledge and demonstrated understanding of tools and methodologies such as A3 Development and Management, Process Flow Mapping, Value Stream Mapping, 5S/Visual Factory, TPM, QCO-SMED, Standard Work, Process Decision-making, Built In Quality, Just In Time, and Kaizen/Continuous Improvement
• Ability to travel 25-30%

• Minimum of 7+ years of meaningful experience in Operations, Healthcare, Continuous Improvement or Project / Program Management discipline
• Six Sigma certified
• Excellent communications skills, attention to details and confidence to take 'command and control' of project delivery from initiation through implementation
• Ability to effectively navigate a cross functional organization to get work done
• Proven financial acumen – ability to develop, manage and adhere to project budgets
• Excellent presentation skills, both written and verbal
• Executive presence with an ability to connect with and positively influence senior leaders
• Experience developing and leading through complex change
• Thrives in complex, fast-paced environment
• Proven analytical capabilities and applied knowledge of decision-making
• Ability to forge strong relationships across the enterprise
• Experience managing virtual team
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, operations or business or equivalent experience
MBA preferred
