Vice President, Brand Marketing
The Vice President of Brand will be responsible for partnering with the CMO to develop creative marketing and brand strategies based on the culture of the customer, business intelligence and customer data that align with the strategic brand vision and brand dna of the organization. This executive will then partner with key internal partners in merchandising, marketing, planning, store operations, e-commerce and design to build seasonal calendars that will drive traffic to stores and e-commerce, increase sales, increase margin, and grow marketshare. To succeed in this role it’s important for the Vice President of Brand to work collaboratively across the organization, to ensure that the team is aligned in driving the Company’s merchandising, marketing, and operational strategies. You will drive the strategy and execution of best in class marketing programs. You will own the brand strategy and brand creative execution across all customer touch points for each floor set and season.
Position Responsibilities:
• Maintain brand standards
• Make sure all customer touch points are on brand and reflect the brand’s dna at all times
• Manage the brand marketing calendar for all seasons
• Manage the brand creative marketing team— creative director and his/her direct reports: art directors, writers, graphic designers, and various outsourced creative
• Direct the marketing team in the effective development, execution and measurement of all marketing initiatives from concept through implementation in the marketplace in support of the overall corporate and specific brand strategies.
• Develop and implement initiatives that increase traffic, conversion rate, average transaction value and sales across the multiple channels of business.
• Close partnership with all internal business partners, ensuring execution of brand marketing strategies are fully aligned with business priorities and demands.
• Lead the integration of the marketing strategy and coordinate marketing plans with all functional departments.
Experience:
10+ years of leading high performing marketing teams in a consumer-facing industry, preferably within retail
Corporate retail and branding experience
Apparel industry experience
Skills:
Strong leadership/management skills
Comfortable and experienced managing creative talent
Comfortable and experienced with retail math
Comfortable and experienced using BI data and CRM data to make decisions
Outstanding leadership skills; dynamic ability to create team alignment.
Demonstrates logical analysis and problem solving skills
Excellent project management, time management, organizational, and communication skills
Corporate retail and branding experience
Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, sometimes ambiguous environment, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Creative and strategic thinking
Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
Strong team player with an appreciation and ability to develop partnerships across departments.
Comprehensive budgeting and resource planning experience.
Strong verbal and written communication
Ability to work and influence a variety of groups, internal and external
