Position Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
The Director of Business Operations is responsible for delivering on the Renovation Services Value Proposition resulting in Sales and Margin for the business unit. They will achieve their goals through long-range planning and the short-term focus of project management, leading or supporting HRS B2B initiatives, process definition/improvement and building effective relationships between HRS, HD Pro, Service Providers, field teams and clients.
The position leads the HRS B2B insides sales support team, project management team, warranty/resolution team, and IT/Ops Process teams within HRS. The position also works closely with the Renovation Services Program Managers and field team to ensure effective program execution. They will also work with HD Pro, Home Services Operations, HD’s outside salesforce and Service Providers to ensure continuous improvement in the business processes, communications and overall internal and external customer experience.
The Director of Business Operations is a strategic, proactive thinker who identifies new ideas and makes suggestions to improve current operational processes. The incumbent must provide strong leadership, guidance and expertise while demonstrating THD Values in a consistent manner.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• 20%-Determine the structure, span and scope of the sales organization. Determine gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies; analyzing trends and results. Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas; projects expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
• 20%-Establish and report on metrics of assigned projects or categories to gauge business value
• 20%-Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors. Implements national sales programs by developing field sales action plans.
• 20%-Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
• 20%-Maintains national sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. Responsible for appropriate Performance Management action by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and reviewing job results.

• This position reports to GM Renovation Services
• This position has 2-5 direct reports
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience:10 years
Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous B2B operations experience at executive level and above
• Experience developing, Sales Goals, Negotiation, Coaching, Managing Processes, Developing Budgets, Staffing
• Knowledge of Salesforce.com or other CRM system a plus
• Customer service oriented
• A proven track record of results
• Proven ability to identify root cause and solve issues with a high sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Leading teams of +15 associates
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
• Ability to identify and document business requirements
• Ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences,
• Ability to understand existing business processes and assist with efforts to re-engineer processes
• Strong process orientation, ability to work and lead cross functional teams, strategic thinking and creative problem solving skills.
