QVC has joined 7 other like-minded brands to become Qurate Retail Group, providing customers with a 3rd way to shop that is beyond transactional and traditional retail. With this growth has come the need to enhance our global Compensation team with a Director of Executive Compensation and Global Programs. Under the general direction and leadership of the Vice President, Total Rewards, the Director provides leadership and direction on the design, development, implementation and communications related to all Executive Compensation Strategy and Global Programs across Qurate Retail Group to align with our Global People Strategy and Team Member Value Proposition. IN this critical role, you will works closely with senior leadership, HRBPs and regional Compensation teams to ensure that these programs are aligned with corporate strategies. You will also collaborate with the VP, Total Rewards in preparation of Compensation Committee materials, design and administration of global equity compensation incentives and any public compensation information that needs to be disclosed. This role is based at the corporate headquarters in West Chester, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia and leads a US-based team with heavy interaction with global teams.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Oversight of programs including compensation (job evaluation and salary administration), short-term incentives and long-term incentives. Owns M&A executive compensation due diligence and program design for new markets globally.
• Develops and implements programs that are innovative, market competitive, culturally aligned and designed to drive and reward team member performance in line with business strategy.
• Leads the design and administration of LTI program. Responsible for coordination with other internal stakeholders (i.e. Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Legal) with respect to the equity compensation programs. Point of contact for external stock compensation plan administrator.
• Supports the VP, Total Rewards in the preparation of presentations to the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors on market practices, competitive positioning, program design and economic impact to the organization.
• Works with Tax to identify and implement strategies related to the executive and equity compensation plans, including chargeback agreements or similar mechanisms for awards granted outside of the US.
• Partners with Legal on the preparation of employment agreements for executives. Analyzes competitive practice on terms for executive agreements and makes recommendations to the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors.
• Works with Finance and other internal stakeholders in determining goals for performance-based incentive plans.
• Partners with business leaders and HR Business Partners to proactively identify issues and recommended compensation solutions. Works closely with Senior Management to ensure programs are aligned with business needs across Qurate Retail Group.
• Partners, where appropriate, with key external business consultants and service providers to achieve the best products and services, while appropriately balancing cost and budgets. Responds to questions or inquiries from proxy advisory firms, as applicable.
• Partners with the Team Member Service Center through audits and reports to ensure compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with company policies and government regulations. Sponsors the development of policies, procedures and guidelines that comply within the statutory and compliance framework across Qurate Retail Group.
• Shares functional expertise, industry insight and best practices with internal clients, peers and other across the company as appropriate. Acts as a role model and subject matter expert with particular emphasis on personal accountability, business acumen and leadership.
• Develops and guides a team of professionals.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration, Finance or Legal. Advanced degree a plus. Certified Equity Professional or Certified Compensation Professional, a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years related Business, Compensation & Benefits and HR experience preferably in public traded companies and/or consulting firms.
• Strong business acumen and grounding in financial concepts, including tax and budget implications around compensation issues
• Must have strong skills in strategy, organizational capability, change management, business partnering and team member communications.
• Demonstrated ability to work and consult with HR Business Partners, Executive, Finance and Legal.
• Requires strong listening and communication skills, influencing and facilitation skills with all levels.
• Demonstrated successes in team development.

• Excellent analytical, interpersonal and technological skillsets required.
• Proficiency with technology and spreadsheet packages; Workday knowledge very helpful.
