Director Sales Operations Advantage Consumer Healthcare
The Director of Sales Operations for Advantage Consumer Healthcare (ACH) is responsible for managing all aspects of the internal sales and operations functions for Advantage CH. The position will be primarily responsible for the ACH Business planning process, ACH Trade Spend Management and Process. In addition, this role will manage the regular reporting functions and work directly with ACH Client Leadership and CCO on this process. The Sales Director is the Sales team interface/conduit to the Smart team services and provides support to our associates calling on customers. The director will work closely with the ACH Director of Supply chain to support teams in the organization (including order entry, claims/deduction support. This role will be accountable for ACH Revenue forecasting, Revenue & Client Tracking tools to include Trade Spending and managing Vendor set up process at the client level. In some cases additional support of CDM’s may become necessary and thus managerial skills (talent management) will be an important aspect of the Sales Director role at Advantage Consumer Healthcare.

Position Summary

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Revenue Budget Achievement
• Deliver budgeted revenue income by client and by customer while maintaining expenses. Responsible for identifying new growth opportunities and closing those opportunities (i.e. expanded product distribution or increased promotional activity).
ACH Business Planning Leader
• Meet or exceed client KPI’s to create “raving fans” of the ACH business planning process. This includes but not exclusive to goals related to sales, distribution, pricing, shelving placement, promotional volume, and promotional spend levels. Establish regular communication with the ASM Smart team to create customized data tool sets for the ACH selling team. Takes a proactive approach to analyzing and supporting the client’s business through use of syndicated data and category management principles.
Internal Sales & Operations
• Sales and Revenue Forecasting, Trade Spending tracking & management, Vendor Set up process at the client level,management and oversight of Order to Cash Order management deduction management process.
Administrative Partnership
• Support the Business Administrative Assistant assigned by client to ensure that all correspondence and claim/deductions are promptly handled. Facilitate resolution with the client and/or customer as needed
Supervisory Responsibilities
Direct Reports
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct reports
Indirect Reports
May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports
Travel and/or Driving Requirements
Travel and Driving are essential duties and function of this job
Travel up to 25 %
Minimum Qualifications
Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degreeor equivalent experience
(Preferred): Master's Degree or equivalent experience
Field of Study/Area of Experience: Business and or Sales Management
• 8+ years of experience in sales or sales operations, OTC Healthcare brands and categories with Major retail chains in US marketplace and or an Internal Sales Operation background.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills
• Organize and marshals resources to achieve objectives (i.e. client funding, program support)
• Understanding of the CPG industry
• Knowledge of business planning
• Solid budget management skills
• Strong sales presentation/development skills
• Excellent influencing & negotiation skills
• Knowledge of effective sales techniques
• Comprehensive technical skills to include being proficient in Microsoft Office suites
• Working knowledge of syndicated data
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism and poise vis à vis colleagues, team members, staff, clients, and customers.
Environmental & Physical Requirements
Office / Sedentary Requirements
Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
