Job Description
REGIONAL DIRECTOR
Note: This position is located in Minneapolis/St Paul,MN Market:
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
1. Directly supervise all District Managers within assigned region. Manage all DM scheduling to ensure proper coverage. Also provide guidance and follow-up to the DM team via regular weekly and monthly communication.
2. Recruit/network, hire, train, motivate, evaluate, and counsel the associates within their region.
3. Ensure that the region is maintaining high standards of merchandise placement, store signage, inventory mix, and proper display techniques to create an inviting place to shop, according to company & zone directives.
4. Follow up on all communication, voice mail, e-mail, and paper mail in a timely manner with the Store Support Center and the field team.
5. Ensure that a high level of customer service to both internal & external customers is maintained through personal interaction with District Managers, Store Managers, Store Associates and customers.
6. Partner with the VP of Sales & Operations and the Zone Sales Director as it pertains to merchandising guidelines and direction, District Manager training and any other merchandising opportunities within the region, in an effort to maximize sales.
7. Communicate and partner with the VP of Sales & Operations and the Zone Human Resource Director regarding training, recruitment needs, disciplinary/counseling as well as nay other issues as they relate to Human Resources.
8. Communicate & direct assigned Real Estate Representative for their area regarding opportunities for new and expanded store locations.
9. Strategically plan regional growth as it pertains to people development, store alignments and regional staffing needs.
10. Responsible for managing storage needs throughout their region with a partnership with the ZSD.
11. Work in conjunction with Asset Protection/Risk Management team on issues related to loss prevention, workers compensation and compliance.
12. Responsible for attending Training Meetings with Region.
13. Communicate and partner with DM regarding the training of MIT’s. Follow-up with MIT’s training and continue to monitor his/her training by visiting MIT while in training. Provide positive feedback to MIT so he/she knows you care on their success with the company. Responsible in the final decision of signing off MIT after completion of training.
14. Support the Regional Training Manager by communicating effectively on a weekly basis to ensure RTM is able to achieve his/her goals for the Region in regards to training.
15. Responsible for the training and development of District Managers.
16. Follow-up on new store staffing and training process by corresponding with Field Team.
