Position Description
Walmart Supply Chain Technology is seeking a Supply Chain Expert to be a strategist and partner to the technology and business leaders. He/she will envision, evangelize and drive key strategic investments to further the seamless customer experience vision, and a reliable and efficient Supply Chain model. With his/her deep expertise and knowledge of retail supply chain, the person in this role will identify key industry trends and innovations and assess opportunities to improve our end-to-end capabilities to bring the right product faster, in a more efficient and seamless way.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Be a thought leader in partnership with the supply chain leaders across business, operations, product and technology.
● Recommend strategies, changes in priorities to achieve business goals based on data, analysis and industry trends.
● Problem solve key strategic issues and support storyboarding of strategic recommendations and operational plans.
● Evaluate the performance of current business models, identify opportunities for enhancements of existing systems.
● Stay abreast of changes in the retail consumer market, especially as it pertains to supply chain domain and technology advancement.
● Create a vision for Omni-channel environment.
● Anticipate challenges i.e. “look around the corners” to proactively address issues ahead of occurrence.
Minimum Qualifications
● At least 10 - 15 + years of relevant experience with bachelor’s/ master’s degree.
● Prior experience with multiple enterprise systems implementations.
● Conversant with E2E industry best practice business processes.
● Prior work experience in management consulting or consumer product companies in retail/ e-commerce domain.
● Expertise in supply chain technology, product and operations, preferably in retail specifically
Additional Preferred Qualifications
● Ability to contribute meaningfully to components of supply chain operations to market cycle including but not limited to inventory management, order and fulfillment management lifecycle in
● Experience working all levels of management and cross-functional partners to influence strategic agendas and operationalize key strategic initiatives
● Independent and self-starter. Ability to deal with ambiguity. Comfortable with agile, dynamic work environment.
● Ability to dive deeper and yet see big picture of a complex and matrixed system architecture and organizational structure
● Strong critical thinking, exceptional analytical skills. Ability to work with complex and detailed data to drive insights and decisions.
