Position Summary
We seek a physician executive to support the appropriate use of prescription medications to improve the health of individuals for whom CVS Health administers Pharmacy Benefit Management services. This physician will review requests for coverage for prescription drugs and related products and determine whether coverage is available, participate and lead workgroups and cross-functional teams promoting more effective and cost-effective use of prescription drugs, represent CVS Health to external constituencies, including customers, professional organizations and the media, and collaborate with other professionals to develop and operate an industry leading health care organization.
Required Qualifications
Current Board Certification from an ABMS or AOA recognized specialty board.
Active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state in which the applicant currently resides.
Completion of an ACGME accredited residency program, preferably in a primary care specialty.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree, certificate or meaningful training in the business of health care.
Education
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Completion of an ACGME accredited residency program, preferably in a primary care specialty.
