Overview
As a member of the HR Leadership Team, the Vice President Total Rewards and HRIS will provide strategic and operational leadership of Pier 1's global rewards which support the organization’s strategic direction, support attracting and retaining top talent and support rewarding and recognizing our associates.
The Vice President defines, develops and implements strategic compensation, benefits and HRIS initiatives to coincide with the Pier 1 Imports vision, culture and strategic plans. The Vice President has responsibility for developing competitive and cost-effective pay systems (including short and long term incentive plans) for home office and field associates, designing and overseeing rewards and recognition programs and communicating all employee compensation, benefits and equity programs. S/he will be responsible for the reporting and analysis of the programs’ success and regularly reviewing internal pay equity and market salaries. S/he will also be responsible for developing, implementing and managing creative and cost-effective benefit plans and policies which create a compelling employee value proposition. The Vice President will ensure social and regulatory compliance with all applicable local, state and federal laws.
Duties & Responsibilities
To be considered you should have:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management or Related Field with an advanced degree highly desired.
• Certifications such as Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR); Certified Compensation Professional (CCP); or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS).
• 10+ years of experience and a successful track record of leading the total rewards function for a publicly traded organization. A minimum of 3 years of leadership and executive compensation experience.
• Experience in a multi-state/multi-unit environment, with a large base of exempt and non-exempt employees.
• Design, decision-making and administration experience with 401 (k) Safe Harbor Plans, employee health and welfare plans (including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, etc.), Equity Plans, ESPPs and Executive Deferred Compensation Plans
• Experience with administering and implementing HRIS systems and proven track record of system implementations.
• Experience administering compensation and benefits plans for the US and Canada
• A strong working understanding of HIPAA, ERISA, IRS and SOX regulations.
• Strong HRIS, Excel and Microsoft Office Suite skills.
