JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Catering Sales Manager
Job Summary:
This position is based from home with responsibility for exceeding sales activity targeted objectives through new business acquisition and an existing client base. You will be responsible for overseeing an existing book of business to ensure catering clients are continuing their frequency of ordering. You will act as liaison between clients, dedicated retail catering teams, and other internal company departments. Your goal is to maintain and grow the existing book of business through strategic account maintenance calls, while also leveraging referrals from both internal and external resources.
Essential Functions of the Job and Key Responsibilities:
• Focus on strategic sales building efforts (ie: account maintenance calls, strategic follow up) by contacting leads and existing clients to secure future orders which will generate incremental revenue
• Achieve target revenue through new business acquisitions and an existing book of business, within a given target market, or at the discretion of the manager
• Create proposals to meet client event needs
• Build and maintain positive client relationships
• Develop and execute a strategic account development plan in order to ensure continued sales growth for each client
• Utilize a CRM tool (Salesforce.com) to enter detailed information and create follow-up tasks
• Effectively manage time to meet target goals and deadlines
• Prioritize a call list of high-potential new and existing clients by analyzing reports within Salesforce.com in addition to other provided resources
• Process a high volume of outbound and inbound calls
• Acts as main sales resource for retail catering teams in assigned market(s), to include coaching for direct sales initiatives and is a Subject matter expert contact for Catering Coordinators and Catering Service Specialists
• Uncover referral opportunities through existing client base and retail catering teams
• Responds to client needs with timely follow-up
• Communicate effectively both internally and externally
• Utilizes Outlook Calendar and SalesForce.com as well as other online resources to maximize organization and follow up
• Operates with the highest level of integrity and professionalism
• Maintains a Service-focused approach with a caring and sincere attitude at all times
Additional Job Functions:
• Attend and participate in team meetings
• Available to work a flexible work schedule that could include weekends and evenings
• Perform other job functions as directed by Leadership
• Able to travel 10% of the time
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
• Goal-oriented and results-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience and proficiency with a CRM tool, Salesforce.com is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence effectively
• Works effectively with limited supervision
• High-energy individual with a passion for sales
• Excellent phone and customer service skills
• Ability to develop rapport and relationships with both internal and external customers
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Team player attitude and ability to follow through
• Excellent computer skills
Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years in a customer service environment, business to business sales preferred
• High School diploma required, Associates Degree or higher preferred
• Superior closing skills in a virtual settings
• Expert in selling over the phone
• Results-oriented individual with proven success in growing their business.
• Must be able to effectively work in a home or virtual based environment
