This role will lead the efforts to create a new data portal aka café for all users of data at Starbucks to leverage. The data café will become the primary vehicle users learn about and interact with the BIDS team. It will supports users who want to know more about the data we have, how to access the data, and understand the metadata and governance around key domains
Summary of Key Responsibilities
• Support BI users with access, training and data questions
• Partner with Enterprise Information Manage team as they establish metadata and data quality tools
• Research new training materials and supplies that might enhance our training procedures and provide value to our employees
• Enable current user communities to further develop and establish new ones as technology changes
• Track and report usage and other key metrics
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of current BI tools such as OBIEE, Tableau and Power BI
• Passion for data quality and governance best practices and familiarity with tools in this area Strong data analytics experience
• 2+ years of experience in Agile delivery
