We’re looking for a talented Director of Corporate Communications to join our growing Global Marketing and Communications team and enhance our external and internal communications practices. You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing effective communications strategies for both within the organization and externally. This will include corporate announcements, employee engagement campaigns, CSR and thought leadership/corporate voice tactics to promote the company and its programs/services at a global, regional and local level.
Not only will you need an exceptional writing background with an ability to craft clear messaging in different tones for various audiences (employees, clients, media, etc.) but you’ll help project manage communication strategies and tactics as well as the global communications team’s tasks.
Since you’re a team player, it will also mean working collaboratively with Creative, Marketing Managers and Internal Clients including Regional Leads to identify, design and implement effective and engaging solutions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create and execute communication plans and campaigns for internal and external audiences, such as employees, clients and media
• Write and edit internal and external communications including press releases, bios, talking points, executive scripts, media statements, announcements, etc.
• Gather and interpret research and content, then translate the information to be used as story opportunities for various audiences as communication and promotional tactics
• Craft executive messages and presentations that are not only effective, but fitting of the brand and corporate voice
• Act as a lead representative of the Communications team, managing workflows, deadlines, editing/reviewing content, interacting with internal clients, etc.
• Monitor and report on qualitative and quantitative success metrics and optimize performance
• Vendor Management: Identify, liaise and manage communications-related vendor relationships, such as PR agencies
• Work with creative team to create ongoing creation of graphic and video content used for company intranet, website, collateral, presentations, events, etc.
• Research, plan, coordinate and manage executive events and offsite meetings
OTHER RELATED DUTIES • Responsible for understanding and complying with all policies, procedures, and regulations relating to job duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Business or related; MBA a plus
• 8+ years of experience in Corporate Communications or PR
• Exceptional writing and editing skills; event planning experience a plus
• A proven track record designing and executing successful employee engagement and marketing/PR campaigns at a local and national level; Global experience a plus
• Strong project management experience including the ability to prioritize, multi-task and execute quickly while still following best practices in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
• 5+ years of experience in managing teams as well as overseeing external resources/partners
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Manage time wisely across jobs, meeting agreed upon deadlines and highly accountable and responsible
