Overview
7-Eleven is looking for seasoned systems engineering professionals to be a part of an amazing transformation in creating and maintaining a group of merchandising and logistics related solutions using current and innovative technology. You will hire and manage a world-class engineering team to reimagine the technology stack that drives merchandising, supply-chain and logistics for a leader in the Convenience Store industry. You will be actively participating in planning, designing, developing, testing and deploying code to implement the solutions. Also, this position will take part in an overall architectural discussions and reviews across all solutions for other business domains. The candidate will report directly to the Vice President & Head of Enterprise Technology and will be supporting the Merchandising/Marketing/Logistics Product Management Team.
Responsibilities
• Developing, maintaining and supporting technical infrastructure, hardware and system software components.
• Actively engages in product and business discussions with a technical eye for feasibility and adherence to overall roadmaps and architectural strategy.
• The ability to communicate complex information to technical and nontechnical users, including management.
• Manage multiple teams that will be responsible for solution implementation in an Agile methodology.
• Performing high-level root-cause analysis for service interruption recovery and creating preventive measures.
• Test driven development to enable continuous integration and continuous deployment.
• Focus on improving current software development practices and standards.
• Research new technologies and initiate proof of concepts to innovate our solutions for logistics.
Qualifications
Education:
• BS/MS in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
Experience:
• Minimum 10 years work experience.
• Experience leading multiple agile teams.
• Recent experience implementing all or some of Merchandising related solutions (Product Catalog, Order Processing, Communication around Product Marketing, etc.) or Logistics related solutions (WMS, TMS, Automated Warehouses).
• Management of 10 or more resources.
• Experience building RESTful services, micro services based large scale products.
• Experience with modern technologies/frameworks.
