Position Description:
Position Purpose
Now part of The Home Depot® family of quality brands, Wilmar is the nation's largest distributor of maintenance supplies exclusively for apartment housing with a dedicated focus on providing quality products and proven solutions to improve property performance. Wilmar provides multifamily housing properties with maintenance and repair products, janitorial, appliances, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and related supplies.
Manage key regional, and national accounts in the multifamily industry.
The Regional Director will be responsible for driving revenue through development of strategic marketing and sales plans in support of organizational strategy and objectives.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
• Sales and profit dollars
• Add new National Account agreements by selecting, proposing, presenting and
• completing new agreements
• Manage the roll out of all new programs
• Prospect and engage in potential national account opportunities with the region.
• Monitor and report sales progress for assigned customer groups
• Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions
• Understand concepts and ability to present a program based on Supply Chain
• Management
• Complete monthly and quarterly sales reporting
• Monitor and communicate changes within the marketplace, customer base and
• competition.
Nature and Scope
• Reports to the Director of Willmar National Accounts
• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be
• infrequent and not objectionable.
• Must reside in Texas
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must pass the Drug Test.
• Must pass Background Check.
• Must pass pre-employment test if applicable.
Education Required:
• The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelors Degree.
Years of Relevant Work Experience:5 years
Physical Requirements:
• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Preferred Qualifications:
• BS/BA preferred in related discipline; Marketing, Support Chain or Managerial Studies
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies
• National Account Sales Experience:
• Proven sales track record; results oriented
• Proficient and comfortable using a solution-based sales methodology
• Able to manage multiple priorities and projects
• Ability to develop and deliver presentations at very high organizational levels and
• across various departments such as Purchasing, Accounting and Operations
• Background or experience in electronic procurement; web, EDI, portals:
• Understanding of supply chain functionality
• Solid grasp of the use of electronic commerce in procurement
• Identify and understand business problems and opportunities
• Describe IBI capabilities to potential customers, knowing when to involve ecommerce
• team
• Technology or software sales background might be advantageous
• Business development background and/or acumen:
• Identifies opportunities
• Creates plans for growth and can capitalize on opportunities
• Ability to understand market/industry trends and adapt customer strategies
• accordingly
• Communicates Interline Brands market advantage and can take market share from
• competition
• Requisite Competencies:
• Microsoft Office Suite of products
• Strong self-organization; time management; (limited admin assistance)
• Concise and highly professional internal reporting skills; written and verbal
• Ability to navigate the back office to find solutions, resources, information, etc.
