Position Summary
The Senior Advisor, Omnicare Clinical Product Development is a key role within the Omnicare Strategy team. The Senior Advisor will be responsible for leading the product development efforts for value-add clinical solutions for Omnicare clients. Key responsibilities include: market assessment, idea generation, business case development, pilot management, analytics/reporting, commercialization, and strategic oversight throughout. This role will leverage cross-functional partnerships across CVS Health’s business units to ensure high-impact solutions are brought to market quickly and with meaningful impact. The candidate will work very closely with Clinical, Sales and Account Management teams, as well as cross-functional enterprise partners to ensure quality and prioritization of pursued opportunities. The candidate should possess prominent executive-level presence and accountability.
The Senior Advisor will identify and evaluate opportunities to drive improved clinical outcomes through innovative solutions that may incorporate internal CVS Health enterprise assets. Solutions will focus on LTC customers, health systems / hospitals, payers, and other constituents. Additionally, this leader will ensure the capabilities’ value propositions and differentiation is clear within our marketing strategies to clients (working cross-functionally with Marketing team members).
Job Description:
• Scope of role will focus on Omnicare clinical services across several lenses. First, critically reviewing existing portfolio of solutions for enhancements to design and/or commercialization strategy. Secondly, leading the development of key clinical services that will further differentiate Omnicare’s clinical services within the LTC market.
• Senior-level executive exposure within both Omnicare and its clients is expected, and commensurate executive presence is therefore required
• Candidate must have experience bringing ambiguous concepts through from ideation into pilot and commercialization
• Guide the definition and validation of new solution opportunities, including development and delivery of a robust business case for use in prioritization and resource allocation
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects to successful completion, and to use effective judgment in prioritization and time allocation
• Strong working knowledge of Omnicare customer types and market segments
• Maintain constant awareness of emerging initiatives and capabilities across the enterprise
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with cross-functional teams
• Develop and deliver regular presentations to senior executives within both CVS Health and key clients; effectively establishing logical frameworks, communicating key findings, and summarizing insights and implications
• Travel is expected, but not consistent (estimated ~10%)
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, other quantitative disciplines, or clinical pharmacist background is required; advanced degree preferred
- At least 5 years of extensive experience and knowledge of the Health Care Industry, with specific background in institutional pharmacy, retail pharmacy or pharmacy benefits

- Prior experience as a Pharmacist
- Results-oriented, and able to influence others to meet goals in positive manner
- High-level of skill and experience required in process definition, often in ambiguous situations.
- Possess the ability to break down complex problems into discrete questions and then guide cross-functional partners to develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to drive design choices
- Ability to communicate effectively and succinctly with a diverse range of constituents, both verbally and on paper, and at all levels of the organization (in particular, PowerPoint presentations)
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to identify, analyze and solve practical problems taking into account relevant factors and a wide variety of variables
- Demonstrated experience leading large, cross-functional teams in matrix environment. Must possess highly developed relationship-building skills to foster effective working relationships across CVS Health
- High level of independent judgment and initiative required
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Advanced skills with spreadsheets and presentation software, including a strong working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, other quantitative disciplines, or clinical pharmacist background
• Advanced Degree or a Degree in Pharmacy is preferred
