Position Summary
The Director of Omnicare Product Development leads a team of product development and management owners working to bring new solutions into market. This team will be responsible for the strategy, design, implementation and business results of new solutions impacting the LTC industry and Omnicare’s customers. The director will establish a standard, consistent framework and approach through which all ideas and opportunities are evaluated – spanning all of Omnicare’s customer segments, notably Post-Acute, Senior Living, and ancillary segments/markets. Further, the director will own and develop the overall strategic road map for new products and innovations.
Additional responsibilities include:
• Develop strategic road map built upon a consistent framework used to validate the demand, economics, and viability of new solutions
• Support both existing and emerging product solutions into the market via effective commercialization strategies and meaningful cross-functional alignment with Marketing and Reporting teams
• Continuous and detailed alignment with all customer-facing departments within Omnicare (Sales, Account Management, Clinical, etc.)
• Establish effective connections with key industry leaders and internal CVS Health product leaders in order to ensure coordination with other enterprise assets as appropriate
• Collect and curate trends and ideas that could drive future impact for Omnicare and CVS Health
• Represent Omnicare solutions and product expertise to customers.
Job Description:
• Senior-level executive exposure within both Omnicare and its clients is expected, and commensurate executive presence is therefore required
• Strong working knowledge of Omnicare customer types and market segments
• Lead team of 4-6 product managers and product analysts to support all existing solutions and new development requirements
• Candidate will focus on establishing overall strategy and road map for Omnicare’s product development priorities. Further, candidate will drive training and cultural advancements to drive awareness and adoption of Omnicare solutions.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects to successful completion, and to use effective judgment in prioritization and time allocation
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with cross-functional teams
• Develop and deliver regular presentations to senior executives within both CVS Health and key clients; effectively establishing logical frameworks, communicating key findings, and summarizing insights and implications
• Light travel is expected (estimated ~10%)
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, other quantitative disciplines, or clinical pharmacist background
- Minimum of 5 years experience in product, marketing or strategy consulting within a client-focused environment
- Minimum of 3 years experience leading teams with direct and indirect reports
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated capability to deliver work and provide positive leadership in fast-paced, multi-project team-oriented environment
- Results-oriented, and able to influence others to meet goals in positive manner
- High-level of skill and experience required in process definition, often in ambiguous situations.
- Possess the ability to break down complex problems into discrete questions and then guide cross-functional partners to develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to drive design choices
- Ability to communicate effectively and succinctly with a diverse range of constituents, both verbally and on paper, and at all levels of the organization (in particular, PowerPoint presentations)
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to identify, analyze and solve practical problems taking into account relevant factors and a wide variety of variables
- High level of independent judgment and initiative required
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Advanced skills with advanced analytical software (ex: Tableau), spreadsheets and presentation software, including a strong working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products
