POSITION OVERVIEW
This role will provide strategic direction for McCormick’s North American Customer Supply Chain Collaboration focused on the Walmart and Sam’s Club businesses. The successful candidate will be expected to fortify existing Communication & Operational Excellence Guiding Principles and develop opportunities to create new capabilities to meet the changing needs of McCormick & Company’s business performance with Walmart Inc.
The Director will serve as the key advocate on behalf of our customer partners to McCormick as well as serve as the key conduit on behalf of McCormick for Walmart and Sam’s Club. The Director will also work very closely with McCormick’s Sales and Supply Chain Leadership Teams to develop capabilities which focus on optimizing the shared supply chain (internal and customer).
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide Strategic Leadership for NA Supply Chain Collaboration and lead the evolution of McCormick’s Customer Supply Chain Collaboration capabilities with Walmart and Sam’s Club. Lead the development of the Customer Supply Chain Collaboration Strategic roadmap and build a vision of how MKC shows progress with Walmart Inc against OTIF compliance
• Develop long-term vision and value proposition for McCormick’s Customer Supply Chain Intimacy platform. Work with the Sales Leadership team to align Supply Chain capabilities with customer priorities.
• Build a capability platform for the local Walmart Inc Replenishment team. Set goals and KPI’s for the local team that drives success.
• Evaluate the utilization of the current Forecasting and Replenishment system support tool. Work with the Information Technology team to evaluate and recommend enhancements to current state information and reporting systems.
• Lead Comprehensive Continuous Improvement (CCI) efforts for Customer Supply Chain Collaboration. Leverage Cost to serve database and Total Productive Maintenance methodologies to identify future cost savings opportunities.
• Serve as Supply Chain Project Leader for key Customer Supply Chain, Distribution, Customer Service, New Business and Distribution, Logistics and Transportation, New Product Innovation Product and Unsaleables initiatives.
• Lead weekly and monthly Customer Supply Chain performance indicator and scorecard reviews. Identify performance gaps, and lead corrective and preventive action planning sessions.
• Penetrate the Walmart and Sam’s Club buying and logistics organizations, build effective relationships with influential leaders, and collaborate to drive logistics optimization behaviors.
• Develop McCormick Sales organization relationships with all levels of the organization. Serve as customer advocate within McCormick USCPD supply chain.
• Work with Walmart and Sam’s Club to ensure compliance with McCormick USCPD supply chain policies and procedures.
• Travel as primary McCormick USCPD supply chain representative as required. May require up to 50% travel.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain or other related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Forecasting and/or other business analysis related field.
• Walmart/Sam’s Club direct customer experience within Supply Chain/Replenishment. Proven success within this role
• Strong end to end Supply Chain, Business, Customer Relationship Management or Customer Business Management / Sales experience
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in managing, leading and developing people
• Proven track record for building outstanding relationship and influencing key decisions
• Excellent analytical and information systems skills, Business Warehouse, Logility, SAP APO, SAP R/3, Business Warehouse and other business analytics tools. (preferred)
• Exceptional communication skills to include listening, presentation and written communication
• Strong project management skills and demonstrated track record in successfully leading cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated ability to provide thought leadership and drive implementation of innovative solutions

• MBA
• APICS Certification
• Consumer Goods Food Experience
