Position Summary
Leasing professional with a proven record of lease strategy, deal making, budgeting, understanding market and industry trends, developing and maintaining strong relationships with retailers. The ideal candidate will have experience focused in the regional mall arena and may include power centers, lifestyle developments or mixed-use projects with significant retail components

Success in the Role
Business Development
Drive new business opportunities and revenue growth with key national and regional retail accounts, as assigned. In conjunction with the department’s strategic plan, drive new business opportunities that align with the overall company strategy.
Develop and maintain business relationships with existing and burgeoning retailers.
Manage deal flow process with tenants, Lease Documentation, Design and Construction, Tenant Coordination and center teams to maintain rent commencement dates
Market Analysis
Develop a basic understanding of each center’s sales, traffic trends, demographics, and leasing vision as part of the leasing process.
Marketing
With the assistance of marketing, develop and execute a personalized business development plan that incorporates Social Media and online research to drive our online-to-offline leasing efforts
Attend shopping center and retail trade shows. (ICSC, etc.) Travel to other markets to prospect and grow overall retail market and retailer awareness
Negotiating Skills
Negotiating skills must represent a broad range of knowledge and skills including:
• Economic deal structure and deal investment return to the mall owner
• General knowledge of lease provisions/clauses of retail leases
• Ability to resolve internal and external design issues related to Tenant Coordination
• Focus on cross property marketing
• Strong oral, written, and listening skills
Essential Qualifications
Minimum of five years’ experience in a high volume sales, leasing or retail sales related function
Four year college degree preferred
Impeccable reputation for honesty and integrity
Exceptional contacts within the retail and shopping center industry
Excellent relationship building and negotiation skills
Excellent communication skills, ability to enlist teamwork and develop relationships with co-workers and prospective retailers
Social media savvy /aware of trends within the food and retail marketplace
Knowledge of basic accounting principles including budgeting & forecasting, NPV and IRR calculations
Organized, multitasking, deadline delivery required in a fast paced environment
Goal oriented, must work with a sense of urgency
Computer skills include Excel, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat and Salesforce
