Description
Position Title: Director Distribution Center 20
Position Location: Disputanta, VA
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support ongoing Retail relationships and customer service in Campus distribution network
• Manage single Distribution and Transportation location in coordination with larger supply chain and corporate functions.
• Responsible for coordinating with Regional Operations Lead in the implementation of, a selling organization culture with a consumer-centric focus at the campus level.
• Provide vision, strategic leadership and direction for singe Distribution and Transportation campus in alignment with regional and network plans.
• Direct Department Operational Leads in aligning best practices and standards in support of company and individual banner strategies and goals.
• Establish and deliver financial, productivity, efficiency, service , and people targets for a single Distribution and Transportation campus and develop strategies to meet or exceed goals for 600+ campus associates.
• Support network strategic vision and direction at an individual Distribution and Transportation location to achieve financial, productivity, efficiency and service goals.
• Responsible for Campus financial, service and people (leadership development, associate engagement) results for single campus.
• Develop labor strategies to deliver best landed net cost while meeting customer expectations.
• Develop long term strategies for the efficient planning and execution of facility physical product flow.
• Promote the continuous improvement of campus financial, technical, and social systems
• Drive internal campus leadership development, including the identification and development of key leaders.
• Meet or exceed metrics and KPI's established to monitor and measure success and progress of the network in driving the selling organization.
• Ensure campus focus on a safe work environment.
• Contribute to network wide initiatives to include continuous improvement projects and total Supply Chain planning.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Environmental Health & Safety or Risk Senior Management role.
• Extensive experience managing technical issues regarding safety compliance with OSHA and other regulatory bodies
• Strong financial planning and budgeting experience
• Cross-functional project leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to build cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated relationship management experience with vendors, brokers and third party consultants
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master of Business Administration Degree (MBA)
• Experience with organizational change management
• Demonstrated project management expertise incorporating Six Sigma methodologies
• Experience with category, merchandising, pricing, logistics, retail operations, supply chain, procurement, and distribution
