A role with the Pricing & Promotion Center of Excellence (PPCOE) means you’re on a mission with merchants to develop the enterprise-wide pricing and promotion strategies. Your work will impact millions of dollars in the form of everyday retail prices, promotional strategy and effectiveness, clearance management and competitive pricing. Here, you’ll be a key business consultant to merchants and develop relationships with buyers, senior buyers and leaders. Your strong partnership with Marketing will bring offers to life for guests, and you’ll also work closely with Store Operations, Finance and other key support areas.
As the Director of Everyday Pricing, you will be responsible for PPCOE regular pricing operations. This role will lead the transformation of the everyday pricing capability at Target while ensuring that Target executes on pricing strategy across stores and digital channels. Principle duties and responsibilities include:
• Responsible for global enterprise (digital + stores) price operations in the U.S. and India
• Leads global operations team member development. Provides coaching, feedback and work direction to global operations team leaders
• Drives strategy for price operations, aligning with Price Product, PPCOE Strategy & Planning, stores and digital leadership
• Contributes to PPCOE growth and development as part of PPCOE leadership team.
• Lead point of contact for Merchants, PPCOE Strategy & Planning teams and Product team on price operations
• Drives strategy for pricing capability transformation in partnership with Price Product team.
• Partners with Operational Excellence to expand upon Lean operating principles, systems, tools and leadership behaviors in PPCOE
• Responsible for operational decisions that impact roll-out of price strategy changes across total Target
• Develops core set of management metrics that support business outcomes. Ensures visibility to operating metrics to leadership
• Continually adapts operations to highly dynamic retail environment. Considers enterprise (stores + digital) business requirements
• Balances need to deliver short- and long-term business objectives by partnering closely with VP PPCOE on team priorities
• Invests heavily in development of global operating model across PPCOE, including travel to India 2-4 times annually
• Manages annual competitive data budget
• Ensures the team, stakeholders, and organization have a shared understanding of how Target’s pricing operates
• Develops culture of continuous innovation

About you:
• Four-year degree or equivalent experience
• 5-7 years’ of operational experience
• Strong demonstrated strategic thinking and analytic abilities
• Proven team leader with history of managing high-performing teams
• Strong track record of engaging multiple stakeholders to achieve a shared vision
• Experience in a metrics-driven operational environment
• Experience with pricing/promotions
• Experience leading global teams strongly preferred
