Position Summary
As the Strategic Planning and Analysis Director, you will play a key role on the front store team at CVS Health. This is an opportunity to lead all analytical efforts, business insights, and reporting for front store performance, which will include internal key performance indicators, market drivers and outlook, and competitor analysis. You will be responsible for the creation of business reviews that can concisely provide these insights to the merchandising team. The position is highly visible as the role will partner directly with the Chief Merchandising Officer to review results, proactively identify risks and opportunities, and developing new metrics that ensure our strategic initiatives continue to deliver. You will accomplish this through:
• Highly developed relationship-building skills to foster effective working relations with senior leaders across the Retail Merchandising team, functional and divisional leaders, and the Corporate Executive Committee
• Very strong analytical and modeling capabilities that include an advanced Excel and Access skills, familiarity with SQL/ ability to work with large datasets and, fluency with analytical and statistical modeling techniques Powerful communications.
• Mastery of Microsoft PowerPoint is critical to this role Intellectual Curiosity and Self-Motivation Desire to proactively develop and test hypothesis that will lead to insights that were previously unknown.
This role is based in our Corporate Office in Woonsocket, RI.
Required Qualifications
* 2+ years of strategic management consulting experience with a leading consulting firm, and with a strong retail or consumer packaged goods focus
* 5+ years of experience at leading retailer or packaged goods company, leading strategic/ commercial projects with significant business impact and proven ability to generate actionable analytical insights
Preferred Qualifications
* 5+ years of strategic management consulting experience with a leading consulting firm, and with a strong retail or consumer packaged goods focus
* Skilled at developing insightful analytics
* SQL Coding
* Ability to automate processes via Visual Basic and Macros
Education
*Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Math, Economics or related field is required.
*MBA preferred..
